There's a chance that you can't even hit it AT ALL because the eye spawned too far away for Zero to reach with his saber, and as to that... Its weakness is E-Blade, which moves Zero forward, which means you have to be close enough to hit it, but get too close and you make contact with the body and lose a ton of health.
