I googled "learn how to read/write Japanese" or something similar and found this to learn the kanas: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA7DB863D6946E1CD Then I had to sign up for their site to finish the lessons. I'm gonna go through whatever of their stuff seems relevant/useful, but I'm not quite sure where to go with Kanji beyond what they have. I'm just kinda drilling myself by writing the entire Hiragana and Katakana alphabets over and over, and I can actually read/translate a small amount of stuff like videogame menus so it's working so far, I guess. Think back to the WWII era in Europe. Nowadays it's just used to refer to a person who's(I think) unruly and stupid. Usually black people. BLS: I have nothing to be jealous about since I'm the least ghetto(as in, not at all) black person on SF. I'm Caucasian and I never get outside. Do I win something?
