race to a treasure chest before the enemy?

there would be a maze with different kind of monsters (third party who attacks both you and enemy) at different choke points and the treasure chest is in the middle. you find the fastest way to get to the treasure. some monsters can be overpowered and ORKO, some give you good exp etc.

i had a hacked rom story about jaffar's training under nergal to become an assassin. in this map jaffar is a thief who is competing with another thief for the treasure in the middle of a maze which contains the fell's contract. whoever gets there first will be able to get the item, promote into an assassin and hunt down the other.

tl;dr, probably not a very interesting idea :awesome:

Maybe an "Assassinate" mission where you have to kill a certain enemy without killing any of the others?

This would work as long enemy won't suicide at your units...

Maybe fake conditions? Like a battle that really can't be won (of course it would be revealed later in/after the battle).

Since AI is stupid madman, no sense of self-defense, it would corner player in no time... unless there's possibility to run a circle and playing tag with enemy... <___<

that's even worse than escort missions! O A O

It could be the easiest thing ever with rescue.

What about a map where you are trying to seize the enemy point but the enemy is also trying to seize yours. So kind of like a defense/seize mix.

I'd actually like to see something more story based, like, trying to stop a battle between two armies, and not having it play out in a cutscene or something

or maybe a battle where your goal isn't to route all the enemies, but to destroy a certain object(s), and fend off the enemies assault

either way, I'd probably still just like to fight lol
