TheMaskedRaider
Is there a way to feasibly do this, or am I out of luck?

TheMaskedRaider
yes there is a way to feasibly do this Advice? Would I have to mess around with the hex or is there a way to do it in EA code?

Krad
From a quick search of this forum IFAF 0x01 0xE01471 Seems to be the condition for tactician male/female. Haven't tried it myself, but it seems to work.

Nintenlord
From a quick search of this forum IFAF 0x01 0xE01471 Seems to be the condition for tactician male/female. Haven't tried it myself, but it seems to work. That'll only work if you put the ASM routine that checks for tactician gender to offset 0xE01470. Here's the routine in binary: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/341300/IfTacticianMale.bin
TheMaskedRaider
I'll test that then How would I go about implementing this? Thank you for the file and in advance.
CT075
copy the stuff in that .bin file into some free space in your ROM that has an offset starting with 0, 4, 8 or C remember that offset then use the routine IFAT condition offset+1 the offset+1 is very important it will not work if you don't do it
TheMaskedRaider
So open it copy and then paste into ROM . Following that type IFAT condition offset+1 into the ASM condition txt for the EA? Just to make sure the +1 would be like 00C00000 becoming 01C00000 or 00C00001.

TheMaskedRaider
Right. Thank you. You, Nintenlord, and Krad are all gentlemen and scholars.
TheMaskedRaider
I forgot to ask, what do I type in for the condition part of the code. Do I just leave it as condition, or is it the shorted offset of the tacticians gender at 0xE01470?
CT075
for the love of fuck PASTE the contents of the .bin file wherever. let's just say that it's at 0x0C0000 for the sake of teaching. REMEMBER that it is at 0x0C0000 ADD one to that offset to get 0x0C0001 RECALL that the asm condition is IFAT or IFAF THEREFORE the code should be IFAT id 0x0C0001 or IFAF id 0x0C0001
TheMaskedRaider
I got the offset part down fine its the id part. Whether or not that simply remains as "id" or if that needs to change was my question. For example: IFAT, id, 0xCFF941 , -game:FE7 -indexMode:8 Conditional ID, 4, 2 ASM routine pointer, 8, 4, -pointer:ASM
CT075
the tutorial does in fact explain this and wtf are you doing with the indexmode and everything just use the damn thing in your code IFAT 0x1 0x0C0001 MOVE 0x3 [00, 00] ENUN LOU1 good ENUN ENIF 0x1 Edited July 29, 2012 by CT075
