Nyara♥
Original Size Size x 2 Well, someone requested me (for winned a prize on a spanish community) to make this face, so I did. The unfiled spaces are because I'm still doing the moveset. The hair color is from her's grandpa (Pent), and the eye's color from her's mother (Clarine), and she's on her early 20s (but she can appaer less age). Like all I do, I did her from 0; yes, without any use of an existent face of FE, the sketch is this one: click~, and for the same, even if I tried to be the more faithful possible with the drawing style of the GBA's FEs, it's still possible that her have some discrepances. And like all the stuff I do, it's for public use, too, if someone wants to use her hat, expression and/or stuff for other faces, or use the face without modification for a hack, I do not have any problem with that, and she have already the 15+1 colors limit on her palete. And well, any suggestion, commentary or stuff is well recived always, and thanks for your time! (And sorry for my kinda awkward english, I'm a Spanish native talker, I do not have problem understanding, but my redaction is - still - and sometimes awkward). Konnor97
It looks pretty cool, but the nose looks a bit weird to me. I like her hat a lot though, and the thing on the left shoulder.

Nyara♥
Where did they gray hair come from? From Pent (her's grandpa, because she's the daugther of Clarine; daugther of Pent and Louise), I told it on the first post. It's a teal colour, anyway, I like the hair style of Pent, so, I wanted to do somethin' similar with her's grandaughter. And that's rare (the colour), but not impossible to have colours or stuff from your grandpas and not of your fathers, for example my eyes are green, even when my mama and papa have brown eyes; that's come then from a great-grandmother that had green eyes. Nyara♥
Recessive genes don't work that way. Except because we don't know nothing at all about the ancestors of Rutger, so, it's still valid (and yeah, I know how the recessive genes works, it's obvious my father had between him's ancestors someone with green eyes, too). Teapot
Recessive genes tend to pop up in weird places down the line. They can skip multiple generations before showing up again for no good reason. :E As for the mug itself, I'll refrain from commenting. Feaw
And this is FE after all, where any hair color is natural. Anyways yeah, good stuff you got there. Quite pillowy in places, and general shading errors, but nothing bad really. And yeah, it looks way too anime to be FE (FE isnt that anime compared to other stuff, even though it's still pretty anime (as far as young characters are concerned anyway). EDIT: And the fact that it looks nothing like any of her ancestors, but oh well, as a standalone sprite I guess it's good (I'd say drop the hat though >>). Keep this up~ Edited August 4, 2012 by Feawture
Shin
Recessive genes don't work that way. Hair colour isn't down to one gene, and since when did FE pretend to be scientifically accurate? Not bad, but the hat looks like it's sitting on top of her hair, like it could fall off at any moment.
Celice
Is it just me, or does the nose seem off, too? Other than a lack of shading, it's quite small and not quite in the "middle" of the face. It reminds me of a bud. Or Homer's nose :P But doesn't really invalidate it as a style, unless you were trying to make it in a FE-style portrait. Keep this up~ I have to fix the shading errors, I did the shading kinda fastly, anyway. Anime? I guess the unique diference is the face style that's a bit more round than the avarage (the FE's portraits tend to be more a excesive "plane" faces, anyway). About the ancestors, she's hairs style is a combination of Pent + Rutger with some of new style, the noise is from Rutger, the obvious try to look more "fashion" is a mania from Clarine, some heads and body details are from Louise, the eyes are from Clarine, and some fewer mix that could come from the Sacaen ancestors of Rutger, too.The Valkyrie promotion have hats, so, I don't see any problem on leave the hat there. Hair colour isn't down to one gene, and since when did FE pretend to be scientifically accurate? Not bad, but the hat looks like it's sitting on top of her hair, like it could fall off at any moment. Yeah, I guess I'll down the hat 1-2px, now I'm seen it well, it really looks like it could fall at any moment. Is it just me, or does the nose seem off, too? Or Homer's nose :P But doesn't really invalidate it as a style, unless you were trying to make it in a FE-style portrait. The nose IS off from the position, that's a error! xD, I have to fix it, too, because I'm trying to do a FE-style portrait (at least at some degree)
Jubby
I'd say with a hat like that (depending on how it's worn, of course; it may be worn sort of loosely, but) you probably wouldn't be able to even see the part in her hair.
Feaw
Anime? I guess the unique diference is the face style that's a bit more round than the avarage (the FE's portraits tend to be more a excesive "plane" faces, anyway). - super big eyes - crazy japanese fashion hat - said overly round face - unnatural skinny shoulders =M About the ancestors, she's hairs style is a combination of Pent + Rutger with some of new style, the noise is from Rutger, the obvious try to look more "fashion" is a mania from Clarine, some heads and body details are from Louise, the eyes are from Clarine, and some fewer mix that could come from the Sacaen ancestors of Rutger, too. Pent's and Rutger's hairstyles are nothing like hers. And hair color doesn't help (especially if it's grey/silver). I assume with noise you mean nose, in which I don't see the resemblance. Looking fashionable, sure, can be a personality trait from her mommy. I guess she vaguely resembles Clarine, but that's mostly becuase of the eyes (although they look ridiculous). Like, it's not like she has to look like someone, but resemblances help (and eyes only isnt enough). The Valkyrie promotion have hats, so, I don't see any problem on leave the hat there. Yeah except the hats are totally different. The hat this gal is wearing is, as I said, some animu japanese summer hat thingy, and it looks too modern to fit with an FE character. Feaw
Well okay, but I don't see an FE character wearing this sort of hat anytime soon (at least GBAFE ones).
Nyara♥
Well okay, but I don't see an FE character wearing this sort of hat anytime soon (at least GBAFE ones). Then you never used the Valkyrie class, didn't you? Inclusive this hat is more smaller and more "french of medieval age" than the of the ones of Valkyries (those are really more modern, because they are more of The Renaissance time, and not of the mild medieval age. Anyway, the size of her eyes is exactly the same as the eyes of some 20's characters of FE, like the same Ellen on FE6 (just a fast example). The shoulder is exactly of the same size as the other characters, too. Round faces being more anime and not more real? What? The FE faces tend to be too anime because those are excesive "bishoujo" (cute girls with perfect, unrealistic faces), and anyway, she have a similar face that Guinivere's one, with a bit of "less bishoujo" on it, but it's mostly the same as round, just distribuited on a different way (and the mildly diferent perspective, too). I think the unique drastic difference with her father's is the fact that she doesn't have blonde/brown hair, but I explained already why. And don't be so FEGBA style for don't be excesive "bishoujo", I could admit that maybe it's not a perfect FE style, because I drew it from 0, but more "anime" for don't be more FEGBA style? That's doesn't make sense (at least for me). People always love to imagine the sons like "exactly copies of their fathers, with some minimal "fusion" on the middle", but the reality is that in fact: vary a lot, excesive a lot, sometimes a son can be a mostly exactly copy on the exterior of one father, other times the sons doesn't share so much with their fathers. "> assuming every FE character makes sense in their design and can never be modern-ish ever" And... this anyway. Nyara♥
Normal Size Size x 2 And this... is the most probably final version, where I fix'd the palette, the eyes, the chibi, the hair, and the hat (and other stuff) and added the animation. I'm pretty happy with the result actually, I think I improved it a lot from the Beta V1 (this's the V6, the one showed on the first post was the V4). Thanks for all the useful comments! I was able to fix to some problems thanks to them. And as always, everyone can do use of this face, and of course, comments, suggestions and stuff is always well recived. BrainFreeze
That's a nice portrait you have there. Your style is unlike any other I've seen used for FE. I like it.
Chocolate Kitty
generally, FE Chibi's don't include a nose, the eyes seem sort of like TT as well right there is really pillowy i also am not the right person to do all of this, so I'll let one of my higher ups do the rest o 3o
