Of the Axe users, Samson is the better choice for him growing much better skill and luck than Bartz. Bartz takes alot more effort to be good. You would have to teach him Continue and Life and Death skills (Map 30) and give him a Luck and Skill+ potion to improve him alot more. For this, u would have to keep him in Holmes' group during the first route split and picking him back up in Runan's group during the third route split. Bartz gets good Agi (Rare for an Axe fighter to ever get), Str, and HP. Better Str than Samson since he can sometimes get screwed in that category. But he also cannot get Awareness like Samson can. So, Samson is the better choice. Both are good. Bartz just takes alot more effort to be good and Samson doesn't. Not recommended to use Bartz for a first time player. Just a wondering really: Is it possible to have Plum and Lyria infinately refresh each other? No. But you might want to turn off the battle animations for their refreshing. She also can use summon staves. But that's hardly no help since you cannot get hardly any of them without Thief Sword from Shamans with summon staves, some secret shops, and Morse Tower. You might want to add another 3-4 characters since your team WILL be split in half for most of the game. Out of those you have, I'd say you should replace Maharaj. He's easily the WORST of the mages available in the game. Use Alicia in his stead. Also, consider adding Rishel and Sierra to the team. I'm about to enter Map 13 and I still need: Dragon Flute x1 Knight Crest x1 Saint Proof x4 Hero Proof x3 Looking at the item location chart, I won't be getting my final Saint Proof until Map 37. The Knight Crest I need is going to be soon, as are the Hero Proofs, but 1. I don't know where to get another Dragon Flute 2. Is there another pre-Map 37 option for a Saint Proof? New question: Plum let Shigen move again, there a was a message (I didn't read it fast enough, but I think it said "Shigen's attack increased"), and now there's a little red circle on Shigen's unit window.
