Shaman Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 I have been encouraged to start a sprite topic, to showcase my work. ___ [august 16th 2012] Recolors: I played with Sophia's FE6 palette ...and Ninian's FE7 palette. I simply wanted to re-imagine them in different shades, but I still like the original palettes more. I raised the saturation on the pink and purple, but used FE8 colors for skin tones and white (L'Arachel's.). I am curious to know if it works well by FE8 color standards? Splices: Eirika got a haircut, after leaving Seth; realizing that she wanted a bad ass boyfriend, like Neimi's. ... She borrowed Marisa's dye pigments, and then received dance lessons from Tethys, and now works for all of Magvel's taverns. Serra was also eager to work in Magvel, and found herself in Rausten's court. [arbitrary disclaimer: I do not own the original sprites used or displayed, they are property of Nintendo ©] Customs: process This was my initial interpretation of Agro's character Henrick. I modified Lucius' palette, and borrowed FE8 outline and skin tones. This was my attempt at making him slightly more masculine. I enjoy this palette a lot more, especially the color of the armor. Sneak peak: Who's that Pokemon? Are those feathers? What colors should be added to that palette? Tell me what you think this is, could, or should be! Feel free to fill it in, if you have the time, and want to showcase your interpretation. ___ This is all I have so far. As long as he doesn't plan on using it in a hack, then it doesn't matter~ I like the recolours. Changing colours around is fun ^~^ Back when I wasn't good at spriting I used to only change colours around for fun XD The way the hair is parted on the custom looks a little strange though, as if the hair on top should be falling down from gravity x3 As for spriting, I don't sprite much at all but I think I've been doing it at least 3 years or so.
