Ripping Spell Animations?

Is there any way to get the frames for a spell from a ROM, I know Arch did it for Aircalibur. Specifically I want to rip the FE8 Excalibur animation and use the beginning wind frames to make an animation.

In other words, "The data the GBA uses to put tiles of sprites at certain points on the screen".

Which, even I don't know how to do either.

Which means, "it's complicated".

So, unless you want to go through MORE pain of learning how the data works and looking through Hextator's documentation and such, you're stuck with "pause the game, frame advance, take screenshot" method.
