Importing animation help

Look at the "Battle Animation pointer" in Eliwood's Lord Class.

That pointer tells what animations to use for which weapons.

As you can see, the values are:

09 01 91 00 05 01 91 00 06 01 91 00 07 01 91 00 00 00 00 00

Let's break it down.

09 = Disarmed (required)/Rapier

01 = Makes it the generic type, which is the Disarmed

91 = Dancer Animation

00 = Separator

05 = All Anima

01 = Generic weapons

91 = Dancer

00 = Separator

********************

06 = All Light

01 = Generic weapons

91 = Dancer

00 = Separator

********************

07 = All Dark

01 = Generic weapons

91 = Dancer

00 = Separator

00 00 00 = Terminator

To get it working, just repoint it somewhere and do each ring as a unique instance... like:

7E = Nini's Grace

00 = Specific Item

91 = Dancer

00 = Separator

So it would be:

09 01 91 00 05 01 91 00 06 01 91 00 07 01 91 00 7E 00 91 00 7D 00 91 00 7F 00 91 00 80 00 91 00 00 00 00 00

Just point it in free space and change it in the Nightmare module.

And you have:

You just need to text edit them.

Similarly applicable.

You essentially configure a class to use an animation depending on what they use, AFTER you have already imported an animation using FEditor.

Simply open up FE8. Dump the Animation. Then open FE8. And then insert that.

If you've successfully done than, then start experimenting. Start reading the Ultimate Tutorial. Because whatever you need to do to achieve your goal is in that chapter I pointed out. And the spoiler'd for space post with the screenshots.

I'm sorry but this is too confusing for me, and the tutorial's not helping at all. Can someone just tell me step-by-step, and guide me through this?

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I want to use this as his Promoted animation.

No, I just want Matthew to use it, not Legault, too. I want him to keep his Assassin promotion.

If you replace the Assassin animation, Legault won't use it. He has his own animation with the longer hair.

It would be Jaffar that you have to worry about.

And how do I avoid Jaffar using the Rogue class? Couldn't I just make a new class for Matthew by adding in the Rogue class? If so, how do I do that?

I'm sorry I keep asking these questions, this is just too difficult for me right now.
