Anacybele
Yes, I checked. Thing is, what exactly does "bold pose-naked" mean?
Lauren
It's supposed to be "bold pose---naked..." The part after "bold pose" is clarifying what the bold pose is. Rephrased: "He was in a bold pose, as in, he was naked except for the scale and sword in his hands." Anacybele
Oh, I see. I misread it then. Still, while the support is hilarious, I never did get why Frederick had the image of Chrom be naked... xP
Loki Laufeyson
IMO Frederick is notably worse than Titania or Seth, though still usable. Arr. He has Marcus Syndrome it seems. Not exactly the roflstomper Tits and Seth are, but still isnt terrible. His growths arent too great ive noticed. But im sure depending on play style, Froderick (no...he is Froderick for me. Shut up) can be pretty crucial. (Just dont do what i did and reclass him to wyvern...Ugh...big mistake. His growths say "no ma'am.") No one in 1st gen will ever be as broken as the possibilities in 2nd gen though. Holy shit and how. No thanks. I had intended to at first, but I ended up liking the female Avatar with Frederick too much to ever pass it up. xP On subsequent runs, probs the best idea to mix up the pairings to see what happens with the second gen. While im happy with most of my second gen peeps, i know a few of them could be much better. (except maybe Owain. Owain is amazing.) Avatar is gonna go for someone other than Virion next run. Once again, NO THANKS. I appreciate you guys trying to give me advice, but I'm not a competitive FE player like the rest of you all. I just want to enjoy the gameplay, characters, and story, not worry about trying to get the best character stats possible. Besides, like I said, I'll probably be pairing everyone else with different people on different playthroughs. I never said FrederickxFemale Avatar wasn't the only one that was going to stick with me. In fact, it probably WILL be the only one I'm always sticking with.

Agreed, playing for stats kind of defeats the purpose of enjoying the game itself. Like Pokemon and EV, IV, whatever training, it sucks the fun out of the game, even if useful. In the end ,what do most people remember from these games? Almost certainly not how you can "exploit" them for stats.
eclipse
*sighs* I'm not interested in telling you HOW to play. However, if I think you MIGHT find a slightly different way of doing things fun, I'll SUGGEST it. This doesn't mean I think you're doing it wrong, because if you really are, I will tell you so. That being said, if you want another uber-Fred, you can also try pairing him with Panne. She gives a lot of Speed, which is something he really likes. Slyfox
...Then why use stats to say "OMG this is a GODLY pair"? Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think Anacybele used second seals to farm good stats, or paired her MU with Freddy for the same reason. She just likes the characters, and thought they were a good pair. I honestly don't know why you people keep fighting over this, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't starting to get really annoyed. In the end, it all boils down to opinions. Anacybele
...Then why use stats to say "OMG this is a GODLY pair"? Because as I stated in the first post, they far exceeded my expectations as a pair in battle. I didn't predict they'd kick so much ass for me, they just do, which means I had to have done something right without knowing it. xP Edited February 12, 2013 by Anacybele

If you aren't playing for EV and IV than what is the point? Socialism? That is no way to live.

You don't HAVE to be a competitive player to enjoy yourself.
