Its more of a habit of wanting to stick something in your mouth. Like a toothpick or something. At times I hold it in my mouth. or I keep it in the stylus bay and whip it out when I need it. There isn't really much need to use the touchscreen except to switch between character stats and the map screen. I just don't want the hassle of having to wake the poor thing up every so often to do that. ^^; Plus, I don't want to ruin my brand new 3ds touch screen. That plus I'm the nice person that lets my friends use my stuff and they total don't have the same level of regard for items or cleanliness as me so I have finger prints up the wazoo on both my screens.
