  1. Vander and the 4 main royals have retreat quotes rather than death quotes, but they're still unavailable gameplay-wise. The 2nd royals also get retreat quotes if you lose them too quickly, when they still had appearances in the main story left (I think this is mainly an issue with Alcryst dying before the end of chapter 11, but it could happen with Celine or the others if quickly lose them in the 2nd chapter or immediately take them to paralogues/skirmishes right after they join and lose them there in Fogado's case or Hortensia's case), but they're also still dead gameplay-wise.
  2. Regarding the bracelets, I guess we'll get someone putting them to sleep following the end of the Xenologue, setting up what was said in Tiki's intro, even though that will create timeline oddities.
  3. Originally, Tiki in Divine Dragon form goes from the white look in book 1 to the golden feathery look in book 2. So, it seemed to be just her form changing due to her getting more powerful. But then New Mystery just reused Shadow Dragon's sprite. Then Awakening had a completely new form, also shared with Nowi. Heroes then had the silver Shadow Dragon design and kind of retrofit the others into it - adding some details of Awakening's version onto it for adult Tiki, and later versions of Tiki got a golden color swap, but without feathers. Warriors though actually brought back the FE3 Book 2 Divine Dragon design as Tiki's promote look, going from white/gray to yellow, but also gave her a modified tiara. Engage only uses the book 2 design, although modified again - giving her white feathers on the wings and "hair" on her face, keeping the tiara like in Warriors, but with a different shape (the ones on the chest were already there). So... yeah.. they seemingly can't decide at all even Tiki's specific dragon design. So, it's not surprising there's no consistency with a separate character (although being from different worlds is enough of an explanation). The original intention seemingly was her dragon form changing as she got stronger though.
  4. That part is actual nonsense. That's an odd localization change. In Japanese, she's the Emblem of Anya, which was both the name of the kingdom Nohr and the game Conquest in Japanese, so she could be Emblem of Nohr or Emblem of Conquest. Emblem of Revelation is just NOA for some reason trying to be really neutral and not favoring one game version over another, even though Camilla by herself is obviously favoring one of them.
  5. I'd assume it's Anri with Sombron projecting somewhat on him, which is why Marth didn't guess his identity. "Emblem of Foundation" would be a fitting title for Marth's predecessor. The Engage chant being "Burn on" also seems imminently "Fire Emblem" related. Anri left to obtain the Falchion by himself according to Mystery - and New Mystery specifically added lines contrasting Marth making the journey with an army to Anri going through the same battles alone. So, that would fit the comment about doing his fighting entirely on his own. It does talk about conquests, so clearly Anri having a kingdom after the battle that made him a legend wouldn't contradict that. Him being unable to speak is just because Sombron is a Fell Dragon, using his power to summon emblems results in an emblem unable to speak, it has nothing to do with the original hero speaking or not.
  6. I wonder how the bond quotes work with these characters that have multiple in one ring/bracelet though...
  7. They announced the first Awakening DLC pack before Awakening was out too (which included Marth, Roy and Micaiah). Of course, the difference is that Awakening's DLC was clearly less fully fleshed out than this, using just customized avatars for the "new" characters. As far as sectioning part of the game though, note that the DLC Emblems aren't even rings, but bracelets. They're clearly something separate from the 12 rings of the main plot, and Three Houses already has Byleth as one of the rings. Still, it's obvious they made the 3 Lords DLC because they knew people would pay for them due to their popularity, yes.
  8. The issue is that in FE usually there are reasons to keep using weaker weapons, like being cheaper and having more uses. That's what they were trying to do by giving stronger weapons weakness, so you can't just "upgrade" to better weapons and throw away everything else. Like I said though, forging really breaks that since it allows creating stronger weapons without any weakness.
  9. I think the issue there was forging. They really didn't seem to take in account forging while balancing those weaknesses, which is what led many stronger weapons in Fates to uselessness, since forged versions of weaker weapons could make them completely redundant.
  10. It's said that Sharena and the fairy looked the same and could replace each other by swapping outfits and hair styles. if they go through with Sharena and the fairy really switching places, and the fairy that switched places with her being Peony (like suggested by the reflection in the trailer), I guess they'll explain that the current Peony's eye color changed when she drank the nectar that turns humans into fairies after she was stuck in the dream world, while Sharena probably will get an alt of some kind with an actual fairy appearance.
  11. http://ryokutya2089.com/archives/26033 Info from the upcoming Famitsu - New songs and MV, including a Kiriya/Tsubasa one. Avex is producing the songs. New costumes and you can turn Tsubasa's glasses on and off. Maiko joins in battle, but only through sessions. New story for Tiki, adventure for the protagonists and dungeon. It's mentioned that although the original game favored an Atlus-like worldview, the new content this time is pushing FE in a stronger way. I kind of enjoyed this game, but the overall concept was a big misfire and I don't think they're doing anything to fix that here.
  12. We don't actually know they'll have different class colors though. It seems like the class colors might just be tied to the kingdom, which still would leave them mostly uniform. Fire Emblem always had vibrant hair colors. Kozaki specifically didn't like it though, which is why specially Awakening really pared down on them and Fates although having some extra variety still was pretty limited.
