DoubleSpeedAttack
I was just curious since the English patch came out for this game recently (in the grand scheme of things) how would the DLC content work as far as ROMs go? Do they even exist? Or can you only get the vanilla game with the ROM.
Topaz Light
I think I maybe might have read that they made it available from the get-go in the translation patch. You should be aware, though, that it isn't really "DLC"; all the data is there on the game card, you just need to connect it to the internet to "unlock" it. In short, if the patch doesn't come with it unlocked, you could probably whip up a cheat code or something to do that for you. If anyone knows better than me, though, please do speak up. Ah thats interesting... so you are saying that this English patch everyone is talking about is more than just a "text translation"? It is actually "activating" the latent episodes that you were supposed to download? Sounds like On Disc DLC in other words. No problems for me but I'd just like to know I am getting the full experience. Thanks for your help.
VincentASM
Nah, the translation is just a translation. Nothing's been changed, except for one unused conversation being re-enabled (you'd never guess which one). Nearly every FE "DLC" is already "on the disk". The only exceptions are FE13's paid DLC (but not the SpotPass content) and FE6's bonus trial maps. The translation just provides a save file that already has the "DLC" episodes unlocked. Ah okay so its basically up to the user to "tap in" to the DLC content for Heroes of Light and Shadow if you are doing it on a ROM right?
