IGdood
Good job, Robin Hood. Long story segment. The plot darkens a bit more and the world is thrown into chaos.
IGdood
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo And here, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when a monarch doesn't behave in a Constitutional Monarchy.
IGdood
DICK MOVE Do note that the main cast of characters did not know what transpired. They only know what Galahad told them.
IGdood
I warned you that this was a long story segment. Is it time to destroy another World Eater yet?
IGdood
Given the atmosphere of the situation, it feels like one of those "final battles". Of course it's not, we still have to solve Gig's past. TIME TO GET WRECKED. I send Sami up north to fight off the archers. Knights have rather low attack so I'm not concerned at all abut Fodder Squad. Meanwhile, I use Iron Will and move to the left. The Pyromages might spam Terror Blaze on me, and it's better to get Terror Blaze on me than on anyone else given how weak generics are. While the objective says to endure 5 rounds, I found myself killing the living shit out of the loyalists by turn 4. Merrigold got Macross Missile Massacre'd though The king makes a short appearance for reasons that have been spoiler'd.

IGdood
REINFORCEMENTS YEAAAAAH. Frickin Cristophe, man. Holy fuck all these new characters how the hell am I supposed to fit them into my rooms
IGdood
Not as epic as taking down Thuris. In fact...it was pretty much a cakewalk....thanks to MAX GIGIFY Epic lines though. RIP OFF YOUR HEAD AND SHIT DOWN YOUR NECK Reminds me of a FE ending where all the characters get a one-liner and then go home. Just kidding, only some of them get a farewell line. Gig is entirely silent. If there's a battle icon at the Hidden Village...then does that mean...... Danette sounds slightly smart, for once. IGdood
So that's how Gig ended up in the sword. I wonder exactly how powerful Layna is. daaaww Time to defend the village.... DEATH TO ALL THOSE WHO OPPOSE SKITARII
IGdood
Too many of them? You underestimate me, Grunzford. Heheheheh To my surprise, the cultists actually put up a pretty good fight. My attacks did relatively little damage to them while they dealt moderate damage to me. I couldn't see if they had special decor.... Sami takes a big hit from Terror Blaze. Summoning Galahad as secondary tank. Grunzford hits hard.......but most of the time he misses. Galahad buffs defense, Sami takes care of some assholes on her side of the bridge. Latula bites it. Not having a healer certainly sucks. The battles are bloody and are turning into a back and forth slugfest of attrition. Some of the thurists self destruct when killed. Luckily I still have some unsummoned units. END IT NOW Well, shit.
Silver Lightning
Oooohh, I think you're gonna like the epic battle comin up! Especially since royally pissed off Gig gets to spout some his most epic lines in the game!
IGdood
Oooohh, I think you're gonna like the epic battle comin up! Especially since royally pissed off Gig gets to spout some his most epic lines in the game! Heheheheheheh New room locks, new room unlocks! Hunting Lodge - Great for defense, but I don't think it'd be too useful since most maps demand that my squads move around. Meanwhile I reroll for better rooms. We come across Dio again. And yes, that's a cleric beating the living daylights out of him with a bible. Great for ruining what could've otherwise been a peaceful resolution to a small argument, Gig. Cakewalk. I think doing inspections every so often has overleveled my guys (the Thurists will beg to differ, but they're dead) Heheheh new meatshield squad Not having a healer certainly diminishes a squad's usefulness. IGdood
Hydronos have pretty shitty accuracy... Knight leaders can use fortress to increase defense by 60% It would appear that certain units will use special abilities automatically when together in a group. 2+ knights in the same room will sometimes activate Defense Line, raising the defense of the entire group when under attack. Unfortunately, Pyromage attacks ignore defense. Situation looks good. Certain skills are also available when there's more than 1 of a unit in a group. 2 Bareknuckles together unlocks heatwave. Galahad has a signature Tiger Blade Another Southern belle, not unlike Levin's sister.
IGdood
I'll try to keep track of these names. I tend to forget things. Silly Levin. Seems that Trisha is the haughty gamer girl type. What happened next was on so many scales of funny my sides hurt so fucking much.
IGdood
MUH SIDES That last option....man. Well, I'm not too interested in Grunzford and Tricia, so here's some more Odie.
IGdood
Here, have some more laughs for the poor bastard. Did Gig ever claim to be Master of Death at some point? We now have Odie. I recruit another cleric. Bandits again, and that dark-skinned chick Shauna's back! Fuggin Odie
IGdood
There's actually in-game cutscenes! Reminder that Cuthbert is Christophe's bro The majority of the enemies were melee types, so basically Merrigold was called out to sweep them from the field. I provided support while Latula shot the grypos from the sky. For all the lack of self-confidence and insults Odie takes, he's actually a beast. Another in-game cutscene! Shauna took awhile to kill, but she basically can't do any damage a a gypsy. Taking prisoners? Hm, alright. Have it your way. Levin seems quite smitten with you. -door unlock sound-
IGdood
We're mere acquaintances? Hm. How do I eavesdrop on a flashback again? SO THEY ARE RELATED
IGdood
This is starting to bug me. My jimmies are rustled. More Tricia moments. We set off to the next city.... New unlocks! Dracosages are more extreme versions of Pyromages. Loki's Fortune grants double exp. I make Odie the leader of the Galahad's squad, thus turning the squad into another mage brigade. Jedi
It's been quite some time since I last played this game. I'm highly enjoying this lp. Although I don't have all that much to say unfortunately. eavesdroping on flashbacks is a bit of a goofy concept. Then again this IS Nippon Ichi. Mostly I remember Tricia being my favorite character lol
IGdood
It's been quite some time since I last played this game. I'm highly enjoying this lp. Although I don't have all that much to say unfortunately. eavesdroping on flashbacks is a bit of a goofy concept. Then again this IS Nippon Ichi. Mostly I remember Tricia being my favorite character lol Good to know you're enjoying it. I'm surprised not a lot people are claiming units (unlike my Empire Total War lp where plenty of people participated) Tricia is pretty enjoyable, heheh. Trish sure knows the members of the team. Something even a childhood friend like me overlooked. The map is essentially one long single path. Only squads led by flying units can cross the ravine/cliffs What the hell? Looks like a archetype tank monster. Their low res warrants that I bring out Merrigold. Enemy gryphos coming to screw me over means I gotta bring out Latula. The sand monsters front, mid, and rear attacks are either to send you flying, spike you, or make their arms use Dig. The rear attack is most damaging, as it attacks 2 entire columns at a time. The gryphons placed in the rear used whirlwind, which attacks the first row of a column, but then changes column for the subsequent 2 rows. Like a knight's movement pattern for chess. Time to bottleneck the bridge. Odie has plenty of spells at his disposal. Static Lance is like Terror Blaze but with lightning. It owns. New unlocks! Lol, they're called Ghobbs So...this is where Odie came from. Sort of. [Odie Abuse Intensifies]
IGdood
Absolutely nobody has any faith in Odie. Absolutely NOBODY has faith in Odie. Angels. With motherfucking shotguns. Double barreled. Yeah why did I buy archers in the first place?
IGdood
The angels, clever bastards, are flying in the middle of the map. No melee unit can touch them. Gryphons are flyers and will be weak to shotguns. Why the hell am I even here? Oh right, there's Ghobbs moving in northeast of my starting position (Odie and Knight squads will handle them) and gryphons from the northwest. Odie, the perfect bottlenecker. WHO WANTS SOME MORE Hunting season. The angel healer can only heal a row at a time, but he seems to be a bit tougher and faster than a cleric. Odie can poison squads too And own the fuck out of shit Time to check on Danette again. Maybe her nightmares mean something. Lies, woman
Tamanoir
"Spirit of Nergal", uh ? Anyway, I'm happy you're doing this. I was pretty interrested in this game.
IGdood
Waddafug am I speaking....Tolkien Elvish? A translated version of the dream scene then occurs. Did he actually just fucking said sorry? That was random Next destination: Corsius Unfortunately, it's under attack too. We now have angels on our side. Wheeee.. I have in mind an airborne squad led by Agrippa (she's pretty cool and cute) Rinka the Whirwin and all the new guys join the flying squad. I do some Inspections to bring the level 1 guys up to par. It didn't take long. "Spirit of Nergal", uh ? Anyway, I'm happy you're doing this. I was pretty interrested in this game. Thanks!
