someonewhodied
Kellam!Nah!(+def,-Luck)Morgan S ranked with Fredrick!Gerome Both as generals Morgan: With Defense Tonic (+2) Limit Break (+10) Defense+2 Allstats+2 Equiped with Gae Bolg(+5), Paired under S rank Gerome. (+10) All Rallies (+10) Special Dance (+2) 61+2+10+2+2+5+10+10+2 + being on a castle gate (+3) 107 defense on Morgan Gerome has the same, minus the pair up bonus and dual support bonus. His base is 55. (86 def) (86+107)/4= 48.25 +10(Dual Guard+)+10 (S rank) 68.25 is the max dual guard rate. kind of awesome if you think about it. Enemies won't even touch you half the time, and on TSON, if they do, they won't deal more than 46 damage with luna+ or 36 with maxed vengeance. Only My Unit
If they unblock on a magic user, they are kinda screwed. Hopefully it is mostly physical units like the rest of the game.
Elieson
Helswath > Gae Bolg because 2 range, and it sill gives +5 def. Then Tomebreaker wrecks any chance of magic hitting you ever.
Psych
Gerome can get Res +10 and then yeah Morgan can get Tomebreaker.
Melonhead
Pretty awesome, but think of the crazy situation that must be in. Besides, with 80 Defense and Tomebreaker, not much is gonna hit you in the first place.
shadykid
cripple your offense! get hit by counter! success! (not)
nocturnal YL
Being on a castle gate doesn't add to the defense stat. Rather, it reduces the damage you take. You may get another +4 from the barracks, although that's too random to rely on.
Elieson
cripple your offense! get hit by counter! success! (not) Forge something that has super crit (Miniature Lance and Ruin come to mind). Maximize Skill stat Crit everything at65%+ Equip Sol OHKOS galore Solo things like R&R3 on lunatic mode 20x in a row without fail (which has counter btw)

Elieson
Dude 55+ bonuses skill is high enough to proc crits on over half of your attacks with a max forge crit weapon. And when you crit sol every other enemy, that's what makes it trivial.

Zerker
Hey, hey, SWD, you're forgetting about Double Duels. You can get 75% dual guard chance in it through the charge bar, or whatever it's called.

shadykid
Even on normal mode? TSON isn't affected by difficulty mode, Normal plays the same as Lunatic+

Maximize Skill stat Crit everything at65%+ Equip Sol OHKOS galore Solo things like R&R3 on lunatic mode 20x in a row without fail (which has counter btw) You can't forge Ruin, it's already at 50 Crit - I've tried. Of course, when I solo R&R3 on Lunatic, I go for LB + Armsthrift + Vengeance with a forged Aversa's Night, and Sol if I feel like it. Never figured out whether or not Vengeance ever helps, because I skip the enemy phase. Back on topic: Does anyone feel like calculating the max Dual Guard rate for Magic-based attacks? I assume at least one party would have the Dread Fighter's Res +10, but I'm not sure if having both with Res +10 and an A support is better or worse than only one with Res +10 and an S support. euklyd
technically, an S support provides 0.5% higher chance of Dual Guard vs A support+Res +10, however with rounding this will either be 1% or 0% OK, so I'd probably prefer an S, because that means higher Dual Strike rates as well. In theory, at least - I'm not planning on maxing anything out like this.
