Little things about the game that annoy you

Why do Great Knights look like plastic action figures? What happened to the horned helmets that previous games had for them?

More importantly, I wanted the battle camera to be more like Por and RD, where your units would attack from either the left or right depending on which side they attack from.

I want to see my characters from the back goddammit!

sacred stones had the best look for great knights. l

knights in this game look like crap.

I kinda wish there was an option on the menu that you could select to have characters keep their default models even after class change. (Ex: Inigo reclasses to some other class but he would still keep his Mercenary model, or Henry reclasses but he would still keep his dark mage model, etc)

I know I'm in the minority here...

Morgan as taguel. She's the exact same size as Panne and Yarne transformed. Would it have been so hard to just scale her down a little bit? I don't even mind the fact she suddenly grows rabbit ears when she turns. They at least gave her the red eyes...

I could go on and on, but it's mostly just little things that add up. I know Morgan is open to be pretty much damn near anything, but the crippling generic-ness is starting to irk me. BUT, ANYWAY...

Knight and General armor. It looks so silly to me. But that seems to be designer choice, so I deal with it. Feet too. I actually have no problem with it now, but I still think of what could have been.

CERVANTES. WHY CAN'T I RECRUIT HIM. Why not, IS? IT IS A WASTE OF A MOUSTACHE. Speaking of which, more Avatar customizing...

Bring. ME. BEARDS....

And everything else anyone mentioned above to do with the Avatar customization.

Two supports things when supports are first unlocked before Chapter 2:

1) Chrom and Robin: They are able to have their first conversation even though Chrom is at the castle and Robin is following Lissa elsewhere.

2) Lissa and Robin: Robin mentions "Risen" even though he/she hasn't yet heard the official name given to the monsters. ("Risen riding wolves". NoE did good to change that...to..."bandits riding wolves", I believe.)

Nitpicking! These bother me, though... D:

I can confirm that.

Although, Risen riding wolves is much more amusing, so I was a bit disappointed to see this change.

Feet

Awww, really?

I thought the feet were so cute! Because they don't have "feet". They just have stubs!

I hated how some characters have a unique hair color.

I wanted the children to have to same hair as their parent.

You noticed this?

Like Henry's silver - it doesn't exist if you try to pass it to Morgan, he gets the default/Hair Color 1.

No defend maps

The Peaceful Village. Tiki's and Severa's paralogues. Even if the clear goal is "Rout", you're still defending someone. 8U Tiki's is the best example, how the enemy will ignore you and go straight for Tiki unless you strategically surround her.

Severa's Paralogue was a notable for being a "Different" mission type not seen in FE. "Escort" mission!? Waht?

Also: Anna or low level Streetpass team/Risen skirmish. OMG. Defend maps in your skirmishes.

NPC defense is so much better than "OMG DEFEND THE THRONE/GATE BECAUSE OMG THAT ONE GUY CANNOT POSSIBLY HAVE OUR SIGNIFICANT CHAIR!"

(Really hates it when people say FE:A lacks objectives.. Seize has been done interestingly... ONCE. (FE4 Ch9, Final Phase. Why it was interesting? The seize point itself (Thracia Castle) is unguarded. If you can somehow get Seliph behind the enemy lines and seize it without fighting Arione, you don't have to fight Arione or his "promoted" mooks.) All other times, Seize is glorified Defeat Boss(es). Defend is strictly inferior to Defend NPC and Rout. Kill [x] and [x] Casualties (both, unique to FE10) are inferior forms of Rout Enemy. Arrive and Escape are meh-- and aren't used frequently, so while Awakening may have benefited from them (Ch 21 should've been escape for example) they weren't that big of a loss. Awakening adds Defend and Rout-- Which was awesome, AND It's a skirmish type to boot.)

Has anyone said how long the Risen zombie attack animations are? Seriously, even when sped up the animation takes twice as long as any other attack animation.

RD General animation is king!

Sumia is too choosy.

Lissa continues Adean's tradition of being a healer girl who has a physical unit for a son. At least Owain can re-class, unlike Lester who is completely ruined by a mage father.

Female Sorceror map sprite has a hat that is never seen in battle. In fact, I would extend that to anyone with a helmet/hat. This would also go for, say, Ricken - he loses his hat in his map sprite outside of the Mage class.

SpotPass character quibbles:

4: Why is Deirdre a Dark Mage while Julia is a Mage/Sage?

7: With War Monk/Cleric replacing Bishop, Renault would have been better than Serra.

8: Why is L'arachel a War Cleric and not a Valkyrie?

And why can't avatars have green-green hair like some of the DLC/SpotPass characters?

There should've been a generic enemy female sorc. There really should've.

Also generic Dreads and Brides should've been in the DLC.

And yes, that should've been inverted.

Deirdre's intro in 4: "Here's this CC staff. Here's what to do with a CC staff." She was all about Staffbot.

Julia was like... the first great Nosfertank, breaking the game with Nosferatu before Awakening made that the cool thing to do.

They're based off of FE: Gaiden's. Which are also long as shit.
