On Archers, Snipers, and Hunters.

Honestly I saw Archer as some sort of what I would call "Slaking Syndrome"

They think it too good, and they pull off a nerf that does not make sense

In this case, they think the ability to attack safely, and kill fliers is enough to justify their usage, but there are little to no incentive to actually use bows 90% of the time(I think this is only less true in fe12), yet they have super mediocre base stats

the fliers thing isn't even all that relevant, either. with the most recent FE, dark fliers/falcoknights are lolglass usually, and wyvern lords/griffon knights are easily killed by wind magic. why use bows ever?

except that mages also have super mediocre base stats

Here's something I saw somewhere else: Archers/Hunters/Snipers get bows that do effective damage to various unit.

Examples:

Piercing Bow=Effective damage on units like Generals.
Beast Ray=Effective damage on units mounted on horses

Going from this, the idea is that class group serves as a unit who focuses on killing various types of units.
