Lt.Smirks
Guilty as charged! I completely forgot the neck. Making a few more edits... Edited February 21, 2014 by Lt.Smirks
Fateborn
He looks like he's pulling his head far away from his neck, like a turtle in a sense.
Lt.Smirks
He's supposed to be leaning back a little bit... but maybe that's too much
Book of Ereshkigal
uh. Show some of his shoulder where the collar starts, instead of his neck taking the whole space (left opv). Not good at explaining x_x Edited February 21, 2014 by L95

Agro
I think the main issue is that these don't really feel like FE mugs. The propotions, the shading styles, the angles, etc. feel more like rotoscoped Disney/Pixar mugs... which I guess is what they are, really. Kristoff looks like he has a severe case of double chin and looks kind of fat in general, and Hans has a super skinny head. His hair part is also not centred? Ana's white streak could be incorporated a little better with more intermediate colours though I'm entirely aware of the limitations in this case. Her left and right eyes don't really like uniform. Like, if you were to cover up the left eye and only look at the right eye, you wouldn't imagine the left eye to look like how it does, and vice versa. Also, where in god's name did her neck go? It doesn't really make sense for her jaw to cover up her hair like that, if you get what I mean.
Siuloir
Ana's pose might make sense if she were in motion, but as it stands her neck seems narrow and stretched and she appears to be practicing her gangster lean.
Lt.Smirks
Thanks for the help guys. I was basically just heavily referencing their artwork Changed a few things but I still can't make the mouth look good to me. Edit- I made a few more changes Edited March 10, 2014 by Lt.Smirks
Lt.Smirks
Wow, I can't let this stay on the second page! Here's a (mostly) custom mug I've been working on. He's meant to be a Hero. I've been experimenting on it, but I can't make the far shoulder piece look right. :/ Any ideas?
Lt.Smirks
so it's been awhile. I'll just dump all my junk here (yes I know he's not timed correctly but I don't have a good GIF maker) I was inspired by that Lucius :) I was trying to make a female Cavalier pair. Fateborn
The yellow hair one's face looks awkward as hell. Can't explain it though. Something about her smile...
Lord of Gabriel Knight
The smile is off angle on Red. The right eyebrow is too short. Her shoulder are awfully wide, though that could just be big armor. Green is cute, but her overhanging bang goes out to far. move those pixels to the right about 1 or 2. I like that animation, very clean, though its plain and needs some extra movements. Also, I think he doesn't go forward enough. I really like that Sain remaster. Now do Nils.
deranger
Battle sprite shadows are a lot more circular than you'd think. Reference the hero. Also, yeah, right now it's choppy and over reliant on blur frames. Which is odd, as I've always found blurr frames harder. I find gimp's an adequate enough gif maker, and it's free to download iirc. That Sain is mesmerising. Red Cav's hair/face don't seem pasted together properly/seem to have contrasting angles. Her head seems compressed front/back wise with some extra overflowing from the top. Book of Ereshkigal
...About dis one I'm bad at explaining things, but try drawing a line across with the slant of the mouth, then another line with the slant of the eyes. They should be the same, but right now the eyes are closer to horizontal than the mouth is(her smiling makes it look even more slanted). Also, the near eye could probably go left a pixel or two, right now it's too close to the ear. Edited June 2, 2014 by L95
Lt.Smirks
have a Nils, Gabe. I tried to fix it but I'm not quite seeing it. Is that any better? (and yes, her armor is supposed to be too large) Edited June 2, 2014 by Lt.Smirks
Lord of Gabriel Knight
Here, use that. fucking cute
deranger
Is her hair supposed to be pulled tight around her head or does it have a sort of all around bump. If it's the former, the angle of the face and the angle of hher head don't seem to match. If it's the latter, more of a curve in the front would be nice. Nils is also sexy as fuck. Lt.Smirks
Wow I need to update this more. ]\ Almost finished, a little polishing left. A few from the splice comp that I don't think ever made it here. And here's a few battle sprites I've been working on as a request from Baldo -Edit: I just realized I posted an old version of this. singularity
i like the guy with the sword's animation but that arm
Lord of Gabriel Knight
I like the general animation of the nonchalant swordsman, but the return bothers me. He hops, but it's such a small amount of space that he moves that it looks really unnecessary and it stands out. Also I like that general animation.
