Wii Not Making Sound

I think this is the right forum for this as it is kinda game related.

First of all, my TV isn't muted. :P

So I was playing Super Mario RPG earlier today (around 6 hours ago). Everything was fine. I played for around an hour, then stopped.

I went to go play it again, but this time, my Wii isn't making any game sound. The picture is the same as before, and I haven't touched any cords today. The set up is exactly the same as it was earlier today, but I have no idea why the sound stopped coming.

Seeing as it worked perfectly earlier today, I'm not sure if the problem is my TV or My Wii. Has anyone else experienced something like this before?

Have you tried turning it off and back on again - the TV and the Wii?

Even if you haven't touched your cords today or in a while, you should still probably check them. If you're absolutely 100% sure the cords aren't the problem, then go ahead and try some of the other solutions. If none of those work, then I'm sorry, but I don't know what's up with it.

I really don't know what to suggest to fix it. Besides everything that the others suggested, I can only think of testing the sound with another game console/DVD player and see if the sound works or not. If it does work while the Wii's sound still isn't working, you know it's the Wii that's having sound problems. If the sound doesn't work, it's definitely the TV and it's not the Wii having issues.

I moved it to another TV, and it solved the problem.

Then I decided to try it back in the first TV, and it worked as well.

Holy that was really weird. I have no idea what happened to it.

Probably something really simple like an audio cable coming loose or someone else using the TV and turning the volume off. Simple answers are usually the best :P.

Well, glad it's working for you again, and hopefully if you do have sound problems again it'll be just as easy to fix.
