Cordelia is like the third worst MU pairing in the game Lon'qu advantage is Lance Breaker and Speed. Stahl is otherwise superior because he also gave vantage, and also give Luna. What it requires is just the Vantage skill and classes for Celica's Gale access e.g. Dark Flier. What a VV unit need to do is making his/her pure supporter 4-hit KO engaging enemies without taking any damage in enemy phase. So there are no difference between Stahl!Severa and Lon'qu!Severa except the Skl mods for this purpose. For the difference of Spd, if pairing Severa with Frederick!Yarne @ General, Stahl!Severa @ Dark Flier has 42+3+10+10+3+2=70 Spd, and Lon'qu!Severa has 73. Both are quite enough for 4-hit KOing any enemy unit except the Long Bow users, Range 1 Counters, Spd 70 Sniper and Anna, and both are not enough to double-hit Sniper and Anna without more gaining Spd methods. VV need to be set up, in a sense you are wasting 2 full skill slot in a useless skill until later on, and you have 10% chance of failing unless its Morgan x Lucina, so for more casual Apo runs, Luna is significantly better. The problem is the fact that Luna!Severa outside of Ricken!Severa look very mediocre when you realize Severa is inferior Sumia(GF support aside). For example, something as ridiculous as Virion!Gerome is enough to kill from the back singlehandedly. At the reverse, the DPS of Luna Cynthia, IIRC only contributes a quarter towards the opponent health, Although there are cases where the main unit offense is high enough like with the Mattster method's Morgan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then again, that's mostly because Vengeance, when ready, is a strictly superior proc to Luna: Double the proc rate [which means 100% activation], and higher power [capping at 42 vs 40 (and lol ever getting a +40 Luna: 1. That implies someone threw K!N!M at you, and 2, why would you attack her with Physical attacks to hit that 80 DEF anyways?)] People like Luna because it doesn't take set up, and/or are scared to have low HP, and of those, only "doesn't take setup" is valid, since any value of HP above 0 is all you need.
