Junk Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Basically rank is this system in which as you stay alive longer and don't bomb the game adjusts the difficulty for you. This guy yagawa took this to a whole new level in which the game is based heavily around rank. Everything you do makes the rank go higher from collecting powerpups to SHOOTING YOUR WEAPON. The game literally becomes borderline impossible if the rank gets to high. So what do you do? You control the rank by collecting as few powerups as possible to stay alive to keep the rank from rising quick suicide to reset the rank, score to get extends because you obviously need lives still. Don't shoot your weapons. As you can obviously see it's not for everyone but what I find so amazing about it is that it lets you compromise. There are no moments where it's like "welp died here, looks like my score is screwed or I can't 1cc". You can make it up later. The game can be played in so many different ways.
