Hello, Hi, Hey: I'm $$$ richh

i'm not sure myself. The problems seem to be like the graph of f(x) was transformed into g(x), what is the value of k? (I'm assuming it's the value that changed it)

Ohhh, I see.

Well, you know how graph transformations work, right?

well i know some of them.

This question was something like this the graph of f(x) after it has been transformed. What could be true about it about the value of k and the original graph I think? Values of k could be -7 or 5 I think and the graph had a vertex of 0,5. Had no idea.

EDIT: negative 5 for the vertex 0,-5

I could help you with algorithms if you want. I tutored a third-year course on Algorithms and I also came in third place for a national ACM programming contest. Feel free to ask me anything.

thx bro i'll bother you on skype if i need help with anything

Well, I haven't seen the graphs, so...

But is the transformation of the form y = kf(x) or y = f(kx)?

In the former, basically, your y values will get scaled by a factor of k. So it's as if the y-axis is expanded by a factor of k.

In the latter, well, notice that f(x) = f(k*(x/k)), so the same value of y can be obtained when the new value of x is oldx/k. Therefore, it's as if the x-axis is compressed by k.

I think it was the former, well IDK, they said there was also a ton of algebra 2 on it as well ;~;, hopefully since I did really well in algebra except this exam I can still get into geometry.

First glance, skimming through the thread, I thought this was a riddle.

It's frank Sinatra, Proto

So everyone around me is telling me to switch to violin.

It's easier to play, more music, solo opportunities etc.

I'm not a fan of all the competition for it however.

And besides, viola has it's charms.

Funny though, because many great violists started on violin.

less competition is nice

If you feel comfortable were you're at, then imo you should stay there
