*attempts to discover context*

I asked ZM lewd questions in the interview thread. I almost got to 50 before the mods noticed.

I thought it was okay because Makaze didn't forbid it in the OP and for some reason I thought the CoC just forbade linking to porn and not discussing it.

moral of the story: read the CoC VERY CAREFULLY

I read it pretty frequently.

more like dont be a giant perv

*pats*

You make it sound like being a perv is a bad thing.

but that's lame

it's fun down here in the gutter

Precisely. Also, the honesty is nice too. No need to hide depravity if we're open about it.

This however does not exclusively mean that people who want to keep it to themselves are dishonest, it's a matter of decency at that point.

And while that and this can go both ways, there could be people that simply act perverted for whyever reason, usually to please a crowd, even if they themselves are not a sexually perverted person.

I probably should've used the term "transparency" as well. I probably overvalue it but considering I constantly look at opaque walls in the gaming industry, there's a reason behind the bias.

To put it another way, I respect the ability to come to terms with what can generally be considered unfavorable or looked down upon to the point that said individual is willing to talk about it.

Edit: Also a bit of a sidebar, but I wish people were a bit more open-minded about pretty much anything that has even a hint of perviness. I've seen media burned at the proverbial stake just for having a hint of sex or something (more) taboo.

it's a matter of decency at that point.

Short of streaking in public or something, the concept of decency is up for debate (e.g. a rather subjective matter that's shifted quite a bit over time - insert Victorian era joke and showing legs/making an equivalent remark here).

In this day and age, that concept has a very wide range of subjectivity.

That's a bit of a different matter. I know of people who do that (and other...similar things), but I'm certain in this case this does not apply to either me or Shin - we don't pretend just for the sake of pandering, so to speak.

Sure, I get that, but I wouldn't exactly look at the person who doesn't differently though. The people that do, don't have to be glaringly open about it, like flaunting for example. In this case, present company excluded.

Indeed. Perhaps I should have said "a matter of decency, to them(if applicable), at that point" but details.

It probably doesn't, or I hope not, it only intended to serve as an example to what I had previously said.

In this case, you would have had no one to pander to, I think.
