For the one being ignored, it doesn't change a thing whether you ignored him with a feature or by yourself. It only changes the perception of the person doing the ignoring. There's a poster that posts like huge posts full of images unrelated to anything in threads, ignores everything people say and all their posts are like they're talking to themselves...
