Still using the saw cleaver? She also took me many tries. Yeah, I'm still using the saw cleaver. It's already at +4, but I also have a hunter's axe at +3 and the Sword+Hammer thing also at +3. The saw cleaver will do you good for a while, but eventually it'll get outclassed by the hunter's axe and the kirkhammer (sword + hammer thing) in damage because of scaling. Not to mention I think the saw cleaver gets boring quickly. I'd say you can keep using for the saw cleaver for a bit, and then maybe get another weapon if you get bored of it or something. You can always keep it as a backup. Yeah, no skill. I only leveled up STR, VIT and END so far. All 3 are at 21 IIRC. I tried the kirkhammer for a bit and it was cool, but the saw cleaver was easier to use. I like how all the weapons in this game appear to be more or less useful, compared to the other souls games that had like a million of weapons but 99% were either useless or badly outclassed. Sadly, the fact that I have only a couple of OP gems means I can only really use one weapon at time, since the one with the gems will be way more powerful than the others. There's one more strength weapon you get besides the hunter's axe and kirkhammer that's pretty late game (or mid-game if you want to tackle a difficult area + boss kind of early), so yeah. btw, do you know if the sword part of the kirkhammer also scales with STR?
