Bartz should go melee and stay melee. Lenna is your mage girl. Galuf and Faris are not as straight forward, especially Galuf. The way I did it was I had Galuf as a physical dude and Faris as a magic dude until about half way through the game, when I switched their roles. A lot of people also use Faris as a general support unit(thief,blue mage,ect). but i need white magic Items are boring. I made the girl a white mage and the other 3 a knight, a thief and a monk. It's an awesome game. That sounds good, though I will mention that black magic is very useful early on. It really is.
