Google translate peut aider, mais c'est vraiment pas fidèle la plus part du temps.

(it's weird to be typing on the forum in French)

My comprehension was good up until I saw "fidèle", then it was downhill from there ._.

Classmates who relied on Google translate often got bad marks on written assignments :P

Est-ce? Ahhh, un peu...

Google translate may be good with single words, but isn't good with long sentences.

La traduction serait: Google translate can help, but it's not reliable most of the time

Same thing happened when people used it in my English classes when they used it

They don't keep recordings of the stream anymore iirc.

Unless you have it somewhere that I don't know about o Ao ?

I put it up on my youtube as well. I think I already posted it, but let me dig around for the link again.

That is truth.

Heehee. It's so tempting to use it. Especially if you're writing a paper last minute :P

I think the problem with google translate is that it translates everything LITERALLY which is bad.

That's exactly right.

For example, take English->Spanish.

Let's say you try translating "She will eat the salad." Basic, easy sentence that translates to:

"Ella comerá la ensalada"

Google gets us:

"Ella va a comer la ensalada"

This translates to "She is going to eat the salad"

Fairly accurate, but it shows that google does not recognize "will eat" as future tense "comerá".
