Try playing a game where a speed playthrough easily lasts 80 hours or more.

A game where important plot coupons are ridiculously well hidden.

A game where bosses can get ludicrously annoying if you don't know what you are doing.

A game where disruptive wave is a thing.

A game where instant death spells seem to work on you an awful lot...

A game where you are never told where you need to look for your next quest tickets.

A game that also happens to be my fourth favorite game ever.

That game is Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden.

1.) I like that actually. I mean, lots of stuff to do

2.) Please, tales of is known for having tons of missable events

3.) Ya, I know that feeling. A boss in xillia 2 has a spell that one-shots the party. Another can do everything the MC can, just ten times better

4.) Just looked it up, dunno what's so bad about it

5.) Ok that sucks

6.) Tales of is the same at times. Although xillia 2 is in that regard an exception thankfully

7.) Wasn't it number two?

most of the early posts are a bit on the long side, but I'm working on shortening them in future updates.

Wha-

Don't, long posts are awesome

Unless it is due to time issues

dammit

1) Cool.

2) I mean, they are in the most random chests ever sometimes. One is in a chest that used to be for a gold bank in the village that popped up for the Dharma prisoners... Which you can't open until after beating the area, meaning you have to know that it is there.

4. You have never played DQ lol.

1) I mean, most games nowadays take 10 hours to finish, the price is way too high for that. Games like DQ, HOMM etc provide one with weeks of entertainment

2) You should play Tales of Vesperia. Without a guide you'll end up finishing the game without any of the costumes, special weapons and mystic artes (some sort of ultimate attacks for the characters) only because you didn't speak with x npc y times after plot point z. Idg why games do that

3) :[

4) I should tho

5) Is there no armor or anything to prevent that?

6) ]:

7) Fair enough. What's number one then?

Ok, gonna try that shitty poker once more

A story is perfect not when there is nothing to add, but when there is nothing to take away from it anymore. Or so I like to think

Hmm...

7) My top five games?

1. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

2. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

3. Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

4. Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden

5. Touhou Project 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom

The story has the same length anyways. What shin would be doing is show more of it early, no?

Rule #rand(): Conservation of detail. If you describe a rifle in Scene 1, it had better go off in Scene 2.

1 more thing that bothers me about rpgs. You get the good stuff when everything is already dead anyways

Touhou huh
