Or is she <v<

[spoiler=The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies]

Kíli dies and Tauriel is all sad and the like, then Thranduil says: "It was true love." That's what I've heard from her.

1. The cliché is so strong.

2. Love between an Elf and a Dwarf. Seriously? That's like love between an Elf and an Orc or love between a pig and an elephant. It doesn't make any sense. They're completely different species. It just feels like an insult to Tolkien. You know, he spent most of his life crafting a mythology, and then some movie makers come along and decide to shit all over fundamental aspects of his life's work.

really

that's what upset you

Disrespect for an essential part of an author's life work is not a silly complaint.

Especially when the movie is supposed to be an adaptation of said author's work.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

The movie industry never cares about source material

I agree.

Fact

There is actually a 1985 Soviet adaptation of The Hobbit that does not alter the story (it only omits things), if I recall correctly.

But that's just a silly commie thing.
