I got crushed by nearly every other class due to not being to move once I got hit. Did you know about 'mana breaking'? You may have noticed small verticak bars in you MP gauge. If you hold 'Z' or 'X' while being attacked and you have enough mana, you'll see a green-yellow bar fill. If it reaches one of the vertical bars, you can break out of a hit at the price of some mana.
