In other news, I finished the draft version of my big paper this week.

trips are always a great thing

to where if you don't mind me asking?

They are, when delays with the trains don't completely screw up your schedule.

I hope they won't this time.

I'm going to Koblenz in Germany.

I stood in a corner making sarcastic remarks about everything, then decided to go learn katakana.

Now I'm busy gaming with homework. I mean, it's like the teachers make up for the holidays with twice the usual amount or something.

That sounds like something I would do.

But I've already learned katakana; git gud, skrub.

That sounds like all kinds of fun.

I've never liked it when teachers do that.

Good luck on the homework.

Dammit.

I've actually just wrapped it up, so after ensuring I don't periodically forget them I'll probably move on to hiragana.

Ugh, every time someone mentions snow, I get jealous...

Dutch weather is exciting.

After Christmas we had snow.

Then it got warmer again; the 'Spring is on the way' kind of warm.

Then it stormed for some time.

Now it's snowing again.

Dammit.

So you studied katakana before hiragana?

I did it the other way around, but I can see why you'd do it this way.

It both helps and hurts that I know Mandarin. It's like, "oh hey, I recognize this character... Wait, you mean it has a completely different pronunciation?"
