Fruity Insanity
So I got a new (-ish) computer, and I was trying to watch videos with my headphones, but the computer won't recognize them. I have a Lenovo X1 1294-AA8. I think it may have something to do with the audio driver, but I'm sort of new to all of this... Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. :>
eclipse
1. Are your headphones plugged in all the way? 2. Does this happen with all sound or just videos? 3. Does the sound work when your headphones aren't plugged in? These are important, I promise.

Yep, regular audio works fine from the computer's speakers. It's just that when I plug my earphones in, the computer doesn't recognize them. The only problems that I can think of is either the jack itself isn't working, or the driver is old or something (in which case, I'm clueless). eclipse
What brand of headphones are you using?
Fruity Insanity
What brand of headphones are you using? Just the earphones I got with my phone. Samsung ones. I tried using my Apple Earpods, too, but those didn't work either.
eclipse
Either your earphones aren't fully plugged in (IIRC Lenovos have sticky jacks), or the jack doesn't work. Check to see if the plastic part of the plug is flush with the computer - if it is, then there's a pretty good chance that you have a defective jack. If not, shove HARD, then try again. Hm, still not working. Looks like I'll just have to get a USB-to-Audio adapter. Thanks for your help, though~
