LetheTheRaptor
Hello all! I've been a lurker for a while now, but just recently made an account. I don't usually need to ask questions since I'm pretty good at this game, but I wanted some opinions. My avatar is female and is +skill -Luck and is married to Walhart. Morgan is a general, I had him as Great Knight with Conquest, but I couldn't resist General's better caps. My avatar is currently a hero, which I like her as, as her mods fit with the class nicely, and her pair-up bonuses from Walhart make her a demon. I'm happy with that, but I really love the Grandmaster class. My question is, is a Vantage+Sol hero better or is a Vantage+Ignis/Sol Grandmaster better? I may or may not attempt Apotheosis with this save, so that might affect my decision Thank you for your time. -Lethe.
Gaia
Hero. Considering you're quite obviously in postgame, you should do away with splitting between phys/mag and begin specializing. Specializing>Being a jack of all trades. If you're planning on using Vantage, combining it with Sol (Which is a bad skill already) would be counterproductive, and there is no way to respond to attacks from 2-range; Vantage only works [well] for units with 1-2 range braves. Better off running a purely offensive build rather than focusing on the defensive at all, as that is utterly pointless in Apotheosis. Shadow Mir
Given that your Luck flaw drops your magic cap, Hero.
LetheTheRaptor
Okay, thank you guys! What skill build do you suggest since Vantage+Sol isn't good. Would Luna be better?
Gaia
Okay, thank you guys! What skill build do you suggest since Vantage+Sol isn't good. Would Luna be better? Luna/Ignis is essentially the go-to for offensive builds, and it's second only to Aether/Luna, which has very limited access.
LetheTheRaptor
So I should have Luna or Ignis and Limit Breaker. I think Galeforce would work well, and Armsthrift... I beat Regular Path once already, and I used my Griffon Rider MU paired with Nowi for a bunch of it, so I can handle it with bad characters. XD Also, I know General isn't that usable for post-game, what should I do with Morgan? I'd like to use Conquest, if viable because that's exclusive, but I could always just use that for dinking around and streetpass trolling. Czar_Yoshi
Given that your Luck flaw drops your magic cap, Hero. By that logic, it also drops your Str cap so... A good postgame skillset for any Avatar-F would be LB, Galeforce, Ignis, Luna, and a Faire. While you're grinding, you may want to swap Ignis and Luna for AT + Sol, but don't use those on any maps that you aren't just repeating for exp/rewards. Edit- Conquest isn't very useful outside of Lunatic(+) Risen battles, and Secret Apo is very different from normal- Normal lacks Braves, Luna+, Vantage+, Counter, time limits, and the enemies (especially the bosses) are a lot weaker. Morgan could be useful as a Berserker, Hero, Assassin, or other physical unit (as long as you passed him Galeforce). Gaia
Also, I know General isn't that usable for post-game, what should I do with Morgan? Generic MaMorgan set: Hero/Sage (in your case Hero) w/ LB, Agg, GF, Luna, Ignis.
LetheTheRaptor
Okay, I thought PROC stacking wasn't ideal. Is Ignis + Luna good for post-game? I'm assuming I would use forged braves.

Okay, so he's married to Henry!Cynthia, I'm assuming Falcon Knight is a good class for her? And okay, I think I can do that, shouldn't be too hard. Gaia
Okay, I thought PROC stacking wasn't ideal. Is Ignis + Luna good for post-game? I'm assuming I would use forged braves. Proc stacking is ideal because of the way the game works: It rolls the RN for the Proc with the higher priority. If proc does not proc, move to the next proc and so on and so forth. This increases the % of a proc actually activating. Luna/Ignis is the second best for postgame, but Aether can only be accessed by 4 units max, so... And yes, forged braves are your friend. Okay, so he's married to Henry!Cynthia, I'm assuming Falcon Knight is a good class for her? And okay, I think I can do that, shouldn't be too hard. imo making Henry!Cynthia a Falcon Knight is a little bit of a waste of her magic; I'd personally make her a Dark Flier. LetheTheRaptor
Okay, Morgan apparently has those five skills already. I need LB and Luna on my avatar, but have the other three.

Okay, I've read other places that proc stacking isn't good. I do know how the system works, I just assumed that those people where right, lol. I just thought Falcon Knight would give better mods to Morgan, but I guess the magic boosts his Ignis.

People who say Procstack is bad are typically dark ages/neo dark ages theorycrafters. Here's the process for Procstacking: Is it good? Depends on unit. If the Unit is running Vengeance: No. Don't procstack. If the Unit only has Sol and another Proc, No. Don't procstack. If the Unit is Male: Depends? Is it Chrom or one of the Ikes? If so then yes. If not, Aggressor takes up the "secondary Proc" slot, or their RT will have them not using Procs [Or using Vengeance]. Otherwise, yes, Procstack if available--Luna is always the "Primary" Proc. Secondary Procs have a priority: Aether > Ignis > Astra Procstacking adds a chance of extra damage that exceeds or is comparable to Rightful King. [A SKL/2 Proc matches RFK in activation rate when paired with Luna at 23 and 73 SKL. At 50 SKL, a SKL/2 Proc + Luna will have 2.5% more activation rate than Luna+RFK. At 73 SKL, the rest of ones stats should be high enough to where Aether and Astra are doing more damage than RFK+Luna anyway. Ignis/Luna has more Procrate than Luna+RFK from 12 Skill until 88 SKL (tie). You won't punch high enough skill values to go all the way in most practical scenarios. Stacking SOL with other procs is a bad idea.

Yeah, I'm guessing the people saying procstacking is bad are actually speaking out against Sol+Luna. Or live on GameFAQs. One of the two. Well, the Skill asset cancels out the Str drop, so I didn't mention it. Fair enough.
LetheTheRaptor
Okay. Thanks for the input. And yes, I always pass M!Morgan galeforce. I understand a bit better now. I think the people against PROC stacking were in fact on gamefaqs. That explains it. thank you very much and I think I'll try normal Apotheosis soon. I've beaten normal once now, but I'm kind of scared to try secret, honestly. XD
Marc71
Hmm, looking at both classes -Grandmaster has Ignis and Rally Spectrum. Ignis does add a flat damage boost based on 50% of your other attack stat, but Luna is better IMHO (same activation rate), but since procstacking exists, it works as a backup. Rally Spectrum is nice, but we have rallybots for this. (To be fair rallybots require a lot of grinding so rallybots are only available in the postgame) The class itself is a jack-of-all-trades, but in the postgame practice you it ends up being a master of none, so you better start to specialise. Sure, that class can use Celicas Gale, but if you want to use tomes then reclass to a sage. ->Get Ignis then get out of this class -Hero This class uses swords and axes, thus allowing the use of the weapon triangle. The Hero skills by themselves are kinda lackluster. Sol is counterproductive when using Ignis/Luna and Axebreaker only works against axes (but it does its job really well). Stat caps and pairup bonuses are great, high skill benefits Dual Strike and proc rate, only issue of this class is the bad resistance. Condersider this as a final class. Ironically this class is a jack of all trades too, sort of, yet its better than the other class...
