That was pretty unecessary. You've got across your opinion, which is fair enough, but there isn't any need to go and insult other people's aims/achievements.

It's not that I'm actually insulting anybody, jeez, I was just picking an answer to Klok's question.

Either way, in this industry that's littered with remakes, re-imaginings and remasters I would have very much preferred originality, or at least something substantial enough to make the effort worthwhile.

Can I have links to all the finished FE6 remakes that are in English? I'd really like to play them

None of them are finished, which probably lends more to the idea of why even bother in the first place, the completion rate of Fire Emblem hacks is near on naught, might as well try make something decent instead of just poking a stick at FE6 enough times that it looks slightly misshapen then call it a remake. However, I found the following FE6 hacks/patches, which all fall into either of two trends, stat hacks or attempting to remake the game and failing.

I would have liked for Superluigi to finish the original remake of his, but I have no idea what happened on that front, but then Onmi(?) came in and attempted a new one whilst redoing a lot of the story to make it better, adding in a lot of his own things so that it was a better overall experience, again, no idea what's happened. Arch also had to stick his finger in the pie, which is funny because his other remake hack crashed and burned and left heaps of people majorly disappointed and upset.

I suppose it's fair to mention now, that I'm not necessarily saying that you should just give up, no, take this more as a provocation to make it worthwhile. Make the experience better.

Fire Emblem 6: Sword of Seals - The Divine War: Ontrack for a 2014 Release
Started by Onmi, Jul 13 2011 04:27 AM

Well, the topic says that the hack is ontrack for a 2014 release. It doesn't say which date it would released though. So my best bet is he is going to release it, just not now. Maybe later in the year?

Also, he might have something in his personal life.

Project Name: Fire Emblem: Discord
Base Engine: FE7

Submitting: A small ~1 minute reveal preview of the first Prologue, maybe the second prologue as well.

-Might- end up pulling out and just create a thread on that day if I forget to make a preview. :W

Project Name: PKL Eirika Lunatic Mode Patch

Base Engine: FE8

Creator: PKL

Submitting: Playable demo (up to what chapter remains to be seen, but for now I'll have to play it safe and say up to Chapter 12 because there's not nearly enough time to polish the other chapters as much as I want to polish them)

I'd been holding off on entering because I wasn't sure how much free time I was going to have.

But, I can now confirm...

Project Name: The Road to Ruin
Base Engine: FE7
Creator: Primefusion
Submitting: Patch, Interview(Maybe?)

...that I'm in.

I've played some of the new version and it's way better. Prime's new versions usually have massive new additions, and this new version has something really cool in it... but I won't spoil since that's prime's prerogative.

I... didn't think anyone was actually playing it haha. I haven't updated in so long I hoped thought people had forgotten, ha.

To answer your question, I would wait. The current patch is still set in Elibe while the new one is in my own setting. That and ch 4 is totally different among other changes.

It was one of the last prominent hacks I hadn't played, so yes. Also, hurray for people moving away from Elibe.

I don't post around here much, but seeing as its the FEE3 thread, well.
Let's make this official.
Project Name: Modular Battle Tech Demonstration
Base Engine: Fire Shell (Beta version, with edits to correct for some faulty installations)
Creator: Crazycolorz5 (and people I need to credit)
Submitting: Playable Patch of Demo, Modular Battle v1.0 Patch with docs. Possibly a video of me playing through my own chapter and failing?

This kinda demos some things that I can do with this engine and it doubles as a chance to find some errors in the installation of patches for Fire Shell.
Also, as I don't frequent Serenes much, it'd be best to contact me on FEU2, if you have a mind to, for some reason.

It's a tech demo, so expect lots of techy stuff.

The following is totally not a screenshot of the demo and some custom weapons. And when I say custom, I mean they don't follow the conventional formulae of damage = mt-def, crit = base + skl/2 + crit bonus, etc etc.

Just a reminder that FEE3 submissions are due in about ten days. (Well, 11 or 12 extensions notwithstanding) I haven't gotten any FEE3 booth submissions since kitty's hack, so hopefully you guys can submit more booth info for us! Boo's been too busy for the submit page to get finished but functionally speaking all it would do is email him the submission data, so you might as well just use the SF PM system for this year.

Here's the original post with info on how to submit.
Also, now is the part where I reveal the new FEE3 hub site!

http://tanasmanor.net/fee3/

Please note a few things.

1. We have five functional booths currently: FE7x, Elibian Nights, FE6+, Trinity of Heaven, Maiden Quest.

2. We are working on a submission page where you will be able to submit your booths directly to the site, year after year.

3. We are also working on an "edit" or "submit changes" button, where anyone marked as a Lead Developer or Main Contributor can submit changes to an existing booth.

Now, should you wish to submit your projects for FEE3 2014, or even a previous year's FEE3 project, you can do so! Please PM me the following information:

Title:
Title Image:

Lead Developers:
Main Contributors:
Engine Type: (FE5, 6, 7, 8 Mod, FEXP, or FEXNA, as an example. You can also do websites and other things of that sort.)

Description:
(Please include a 2-3 paragraph description outlining your submission's story. An additional paragraph at the end stating future goals and current progress is also recommended.)

Years featured at FEE3: (2011, 2012, 2013, etc)
Release Date: (Original release of a project only. If it is not released or not planned for a release, please state "Unreleased.")
Relevant Links: (Things like a project topic or a mainsite go here.)

Screenshots:
(Please include a zip file with screenshots, preferably in png format, snapped from within VBA or your engine of choise at the best possible clarity.)

Video(s):
(Include any relevant videos, or a single playlist if you have more than two videos. You can set youtube playlists on your youtube account.)
Here's an example of a submission in the proper format.

Title: Fire Emblem: Immortal Sword (FE7x)

Title Image: http://tanasmanor.net/fee3/projects/fe7x/logo.png

Lead Developers: BwdYeti

Main Contributors: Myke, The Merc, Vamp

Engine Type: FEXP (Previously), FEXNA

Description:

A prequel to Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword, Fire Emblem: Immortal Sword (FE7x) is a tale of bloodshed and futility, of young Lord Uther's campaign against a dangerous force and the treacheries of both friend and foe. Command dozens of unique characters in exciting battles across Elibe, with new classes, skills and features that allow for a higher level of tactical complexity than the games that inspired it.

The project is being developed with Microsoft XNA to simulate the official Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem series' gameplay, but additional features such as an elaborated class tree, a diverse skill system and an overworld map help set the game apart.

As of July 1st, 2014, work on the project is still currently in progress. Three trial maps have been completed, and at least five full chapters of the regular game have also been completed, with more on the way. The game's progress can be followed via the official site, linked below.

Years featured at FEE3: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014

Release Date: April 16th, 2009 (Ongoing)

Just a reminder that FEE3 submissions are due in about ten days.

For anybody submitting a playable demo for an LPer: Patch by August 1st.

For people submitting their own video content: All media by August 12th.

Show dates: August 15th-17th.

Clarifying since the above only holds true for those submitting a playable demo for an LPer, according to the first post.

>Implying the great majority of people aren't submitting patches for LPers

That being said, I could have worded that differently. Also, Prime submitted info for TRTR's booth, that'll be up fairly soon. Any other takers?
