I decided to start my playthrough, due to all the units available for a while have been drafted already (and it's unlikley I'm getting Wil)

Took a few retires because I didn't know how to rig a crit against the first bandit

Sent Bartre & Eliwood top and Marchs east to solo half the map. Used an Energy Ring on Eliwood so I could 2RKO fighters

Two questions: Am I allowed to recruit undrafted units? And does having a theif getting a promotion item by opening a chest with a lockpick give a penalty, or am I only allowed to use them to steal promotion items?

Recruit undrafted units: I've done so, and as long as they don't enter combat, it's fine! I usually do this to Raven, to snag his swag.

Thieves: I assume it's to steal promotional items and/or open chests? Otherwise, the Hero Crest comes in Chapter 21 as a steal, which is pretty late.

I'd say let's leave Wil, Wallace (because no ones getting geitz), Nino and Renault undrafted and therefore unusable, because you'd have 1 less than everyone else if we drafted the last four.

Also, I'm assuming that for the first chapter, Marcus should cut a path while Rebecca and Eliwood trail behind?

Chapter 11 - 4/4

Standardish, except Dorcas was able to help out a little.

Chapter 12 - 6/10

Clearing out the north took a little bit longer, but I was able to feed Dorcas the Energy Ring. Yes, you read that right.

Chapter 13 - 6/16

By giving Dorcas the Energy Ring, he was able to insta-blick the first stump using a Steel Axe. This allowed Marcus easy access over the river, which made everything less complicated. Managed to recruit Guy before ending the chapter - I'll need that Killing Edge.
