If it helps, a friend of mine put Libra and Miriel together to let science and religion lovingly embrace eachother... lol... But still, go with Palne/Fred if you want backstory for Fred, go with Palne/Libra if you want (rather crucial and pretty unoriginal) backstory for the Taguel race.
