Fireman
Let's give IS the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they did it on purpose to give a shout-out to the other FE?
_____
That, or they just completely forgot about ONE cutscene that appeared in another game.

Fireman
First FE in Japan...First FE in US. I wouldn't be too surprised if they did it on purpose.
_____
I really doubt that it's on purpose. Why make it so subtle?
Phoenix Wright
Doesn't Marth slay a dragon in FE 1 too though? But yea they could have changed it up a little...
Fireman
I really doubt that it's on purpose. Why make it so subtle? Why not? Some things are better left to the gamer to figure out. Besides, it's not like they would just announce to the world, "Hey...uh...that scene where Eliwood slayed the dragon and where Marth slayed the dragon are similar on purpose. We felt like you should know because we're not lazy retards..." They probably won't say it exactly like that, but you get the point. ^^
_____
Doesn't Marth slay a dragon in FE 1 too though? But yea they could have changed it up a little... It is called Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light for a reason.
Florete
I don't know what you all are talking about. I see no resemblance what-so-ever. /sarcasm.
sunshineYON
Its one of those "find the 6 differences between these seemingly identical pictures game"
Ϲharlie
The Elibe series cribbed much of its content from the original Fire Emblem, so it's probably not a coincidence. In a way, Elibe and Akaneia are alternate versions of each other.
Phoenix Wright
It is called Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light for a reason. Thank you for proving I am stupid lol
Raven
Interesting, quite similar apart from the art styles and the lack of light shooting from Ninian .
Phoenix Wright
And if you really look at it, Eliwood has his sword on the ground while Marth's doesn't.
Not Changed by VASM :(
And if you really look at it, Eliwood has his sword on the ground while Marth's doesn't. But they made the swords look similar.
