solrocknroll
Suikoden II is a good one that I haven't seen mentioned. Suikoden II is amazing omg yes. Of course, it also misspells Jowy's name like five times.

solrocknroll
How do they misspell it, Joei or something? Yep. It's great, but translation was farthest from their minds when making it. i <3 clive and tengaar

Esau of Isaac
How are they more accessible They are easier. Most enemies have clear weaknesses, the player has a much easier time gaining an assortment of attacks and strengthening. They have more party members with a wider array of attacks and defenses. The need for being higher level is lower, most of the time the player can proceed in a generally straight line up Tartarus/P4 dungeon until they are stopped by an invisible plot wall, and pick up later. SMT games generally require a lot of grinding, but these ones are pretty par for the course when it comes to JRPGs. You might have a weak argument for 3, but 4? Get outta here breh

Katie
EarthBound. One of the funniest and funnest RPGs out there. If you have a Wii U and 10 dollars to spare, you can get it on the VC, if not, you can always emulate it.

Dark Sage
We are now best friends. Everyone I know sucks BoF III's dick like it's the second coming, but IV was the most underappreciated JRPG released then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTX5UzFI0WU muh childhood What kinds of RPGs do you like OP? There are a bunch for any kind, asking us to just list off great ones is gonna make us leave a bunch out BoF III is such a waste man. It has a few good mechanics and ideas and doesn't really do anything with them. I would recommend any other title in the series over it, at least they're not boring. Dragon Quarter is also good, but the mechanics are a bit hard to get into and it's kind of hard so I'd wait a bit before playing it.
euklyd
can I justify TWEWY as an RPG if not, what about FFT(A(2))?
