I tried a bit of MarisaA on Hard for shits and giggles

Almost accidentally 1cc'd it if I didn't screw up twice on Tokamak (Meltdown hard ver.) which is normally not that much of a big deal to me.

I actually love Alice on Hard because you get to spam deathbombs like an absolute maniac, and the Ps required to replenish one is super small. Plus the spread on focus is actually good, since the bullet rain on Hard stages gets pretty ridiculously dense sometimes.

MarisaA is only good if you either never die/bomb ever, or if you're constantly on your last life. :/

1: shoot things

2: shoot things while praising helix during midboss card (run around in a rough spiral), Parsee has no hitbox after the card starts

Parsee: watch my draft run to lead the Hanasaka flowers around, don't shoot the clone, and lead Anathema Ritual around. Parsee is mostly leading stuff around.

3: kill blue orbs fast. Phenomenon is a card that is repeated nearly the same time every time every difficulty, if you can learn it it's a boost, otherwise just shotgun bomb. part after yuugi, shoot the blue orbs down, and then sit in the middle and git gud (this part of dodging lasers will help you a lot in beating other criss-crossing lasers ex: Ichirin, Shou)

Yuugi: nothing really hard comes to mind here except for you to move vertically in dodging second nonspell, get ready to deathbomb on Ooe, and just plain skip last nonspell after Ooe. last card looking at the colors (red bullets = big gaps, speed right through, blue bullets = small gaps, go near bottom)

4: bomb where appropriate, catrin midboss may be a little difficult but you can try, otherwise just bomb for the lifepiece

Satori(Yukari ver.): souvenir is ez, double black death butterfly bomb as late as possible to skip, second card is fine but be prepared to deathbomb, same as the third card (remember to look out for the last wave that you need to circle around instead of passing through a gap)

5: stream the early revenge bullets, don't shoot when an orb comes with spirits coming from both sides, bomb to catwalk but not her nonspells if you can help it. post-catrin is a lot of bombing, but don't go too crazy, save it for when you get a lot of stuff on screen so you can get power back. another orb with two sides of spirits, don't shoot. last wave is more revenge bullets to be streamed.

The other games still work, I take it? Playing them for a while doesn't cause anything else to become corrupted? (If more things start to become corrupted, I'd wager a guess that your "removable disk" thingie is dying.)

Everything else is fine. I just don't get why UFO suddenly got corrupted.

I think I'll move everything to my new laptop when I get it.

I'd definitely recommend NOT waiting until things start to die. Check your device with CheckFlash (thumbdrives) or H2testw (all types of removable media) to make sure it's not dying. I don't want to see anyone break down because all their stuff got destroyed by a failing drive. Being on the receiving end of a data loss situation is not fun, especially if you don't have backups.

I am annoyed at being unable to reach the goal I've set for myself in PCB. Seriously, I know I can do this, I just never fail to find an opportunity to piss it away and fuck it up.

So I DLd a scorefile and tried out stage 4 for shits and giggles.
