I will admit the third seems to be the first with more blue.

It is. As far as I remember, literally the same strategy I use for dodging the first also works for the third spellcard, except the latter requires an ass-load more precision.

Also, Yuyuko's strength against bosses strongly depends on how close to your target you are. Her damage output is pretty good at shotgun range, but at any distance any sane human being would call "safe", it's by far the worst of the playable youkai. Only Reimu and Sakuya do less damage, and the former at least has the advantage of her shots being homing.

Mind you, in this game, partially due to the completely stupid armor mechanic, even Reimu downs bosses withhin a reasonable timeframe if there's not a million familiars blocking all her shots, so using Yuyuko against bosses is acceptable, if inefficient.

Youmu solo run is pretty great for scoring though.

iirc the damage goes:

Malice Cannon > Myon and Youmu shooting in the same direction > Remilia and familiars > Yukari and Ran.

I just like Scarlet team since you just put the familiars in front of the boss's face and you can run away. Also having Sakuya's spread shot in stages is neat, her shotgun isn't too shabby. (Also you get to fight Reimu instead of Marisa, thats a plus too.)

The main reason I dislike playing Yuyuko is just how slow she moves. It hurts.

Nah, I like playing her unfocused, in fact, I wish there was a team where Yuyuko was unfocused, and Remilia was focused. Best survival team, ever.

Its her focus speed that bothers me. I *think* she is as fast as Yukari is, but it feels slower.

Well focused speed always feels slow to me, so I don't really mind how slow she is.

Remi's speed is the perfect speed for me. Her hitbox is a bit big though, which is annoying (Not to mention that it makes no sense).

Also, try doing a few unfocused runs :P
