Jotaro Kujo Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 Yikes. Samus, Link, and Mario are pretty clearly counterfeit but that Pikachu, that's hard to tell the difference. If the counterfeit market expands (and at this point there's no reason for it not to, since it's already started) it may be that the more cartoony characters will be harder to tell are counterfeit and that's going to really suck for people who think they just found a good amiibo for a nice price only to find out it was fake. :/ Of course there's always the box, which is clearly different from a real amiibo box, but you would be surprised at how many people would fall for it anyway. If I recall Nintendo publically stated how they are no longer doing business there because of the trade laws and policies they have in place. Just scored a Charizard 14 dollars w/ 4 dollar shipping and can't wait for it to arrive in the mail. Checking Nintendo right now to see if anymore Robin's/Lucina's are getting reprinted as to my point of view, they are discontinued. They aren't listed anywhere in any retailers and went to several of those places and none of them had any idea when, if anymore are coming in. ...And still have to hunt for another Robin/Lucina for good prices till the day I die.
