Anyway, @topic: yes, they should be some hint in the game as to what a character's growths are. I don't see any good reason why you should hide them. I wonder about that thing SquareRootOfPi did in his FE4 thingie, where the quality of a character's growths are hinted at by colours on the stat screen.
