PuffPuff
One of my top ten favorite movies of all time!!!! Has anyone seen the movie, Misery. It's about Paul Sheldon that gets into a car accident and suffers serious injuries with three placed fractured legs and a dislocated shoulder. He gets abducted by Annie Wilkes (without bothering to tell anybody about the accident) (Kathy Bates who won an academy award for best actress) who is his number one fan as she read all of his novels. Don't look if you haven't seen the movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1J57eRNzFk She's a wraith. lol http://villains.wikia.com/wiki/Annie_Wilkes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Wilkes She's rated as one of the top 100 villains of all time. She's a psychopath who is very good at hiding her callous nature...in truth she was planning to trap Paul forever in her castle as she locks the doors whenever she leaves, she told Paul off that she didn't call anyone after he killed of her favorite character in the story of Misery. He tried to escape with all his might, but she locked the door from the outside. EVIL. D: She doesn't ever use a telephone as Paul called her a crazy bitch after he found a way out of his room with a bobby pin and looking at that she doesn't use a telephone after finding out that it is disconnected when he tried to contact for help. He also locks the door back after he drove her away on purpose to get some paper. She's a headcase herself who has severe bipolar disorder along with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderline_personality_disorder Borderline Personality Disorder She forced Paul to burn his book after she got back home after he already locked the door to his room. She wants him to write her a novel to return her character to the world. Paul knew she was crazy and had to leave at any cost. He tried to poison her at a dinner, but failed when she spilled her drugged wine. Later in the film after Paul left his room for the second time after Annie left and said that she might use this gun and put bullets in it! After Paul read through her past records book, he finds out that she is a serial killer who murdered many babies at the hospital, her father, her neighbors, (She's a nurse which is why that she nursed Paul to health). She must have killed over 70 people. Paul was upset and he went back to his room and locked it long before she cameback. He then gets drugged by Annie with an injection after she cameback showing thunderstorm colors across her face, Paul wakes up next morning strapped to the bed with no way out and after she said to Paul that she found out that he has been out of his room (he messed up her penguin's position. She found out just before she was going outside for the second time), so therefore she hobbles him and breaks his ankles with a sledgehammer, so he can never leave her house again. :( She wore a cross necklace while doing this which was rather satanic. In the book, she was supposed to chop off his foot and burn his leg with a blowtorch. After the Sheriff finds out about her past in her records after he saw her go to the store, he then investigates her house (She already drugged Paul again and hid him in the basement), she secretly tries to poison him with a cup of hot chocolate which the sheriff knew it had poison in it. He read her past records already that was from the court office. After the sheriff left, he heard some noise in her house coming from the basement. He checked to see if Annie was alright and Paul yelled that he was down here. After the sheriff opens the door and sees him, Annie blows him away from behind with a shotgun and said that this was bound to happen that she was trying to save him. After awhile, Paul got fed up, burned the new book he made of her, they then get in a fight. Paul knocked Annie down with a typewriter that he hit her over the head with it. Annie shot him, but it didn't effect Paul and he put the burnt paper in her mouth and told her to eat it till she choked you sick twisted fuck! Annie knocks him to the floor, but Paul picked up a pig statue and cracked her skull with it killing her. What a great film it was and it is one of my top ten favorite films of all time after Paul gotten better and walked with a cane 18 months later. PuffPuff
http://www.funtrivia.com/en/Literature/Misery-15370.html Reading here further makes the movie just as interesting as the book.
Strawman
I remember seeing this movie when I was relatively young. It was pretty scary, but still a good movie. I mean, the character of Annie Wilkes is really well played by Kathy Bates, and so convincing that is terrifying to imagine that person in real life. Also, if you like Stephen King, I recommend reading his memoir On Writing. Its quite interesting! General Banzai
It's King's best book, the film is good too. It's the book that showcases King's talent beyond hack horror schlock.
