The Sacred Contention: Episode 2: FE7 Side: Part 1: Tactical Divisions

One quick reset later...

Okay, it's time to switch things around!

We are now officially part of the FE7 team!

Okay, so. As I said before, we're going to play offensively now. But because charging all my dudes forward just isn't enough, we're going to split everyone up into different groups, which will all have their own part to play!

The first turn is kinda chaotic, so I'll just skip most of it. By the second turn, I can actually point out individual groups.

This here is the Winged Stabbers group, which is going to head through the top of the map and hit the castle from above!

This here is the Buff Stompers group, made up of warriors and berserkers! As the main group of enemies charges into the front, the group will attack them from the side! There's 6 of them in total, the rest haven't caught up yet...

This here is the Pretty Ponies group, they'll be my first reserves. I'll hold them back a bit, and they can charge in if the battle starts to go sour!

Finally, this here is the Swords and Slashers group. They're not all together yet, but once I get my heroes, swordsmasters, and assassins together, they'll essentially be our main army, repelling the initial assault!

The generals and snipers form a smaller group named Team Teamwork. They'll be working with Swords and Slashers to fight off the main group of enemies!

Down here is Team Magi, made up of ALL our magic users save Priscilla. They'll be our emergency reserves, helping if somehow all the other groups can't do it!

Finally, we have the Terrible Trio. I'm fairly certain the enemy can't actually seize your throne, but they'll be guarding it anyway!

Ninian and Nils are the only ones not in a group. They'll just be helping out wherever they can.

First combat! Guy, leading Swords and Slashers, is not going down so easily!

There's quite a few dudes charging out to greet us... Including Saleh.

Also, look at the second picture. FE8 side leaves FAR less units back to defend the base... Hence why I think Winged Stabbers has a shot, if they play things right.

without a doubt, not only does FE8's side have the overall better characters with rediculous weapon layouts compaired to FE7, they can do the "just charge everyone forehead" strat and lose far less people from it then the FE7 side due to what i mentioned earlier and that the FE7 side throws less people at you at once, meanwhile FE8 throws literally all but 6, and as we saw FE7 holds back 14 units.

it might've been more equal for both sides if Serra didn't prioritize using rescue over fortify and if L'archal was with the main group so she could use her fortify.

speaking of what IS the condition for the AI to use that staff anyways?

I wasn't able to get Binks Emblem downloaded, as the links are all broken since it's a 2008 hack and all that. Pity, because it seems like the better of the two. I did get GhebFE downloaded, but it has no Moniker cameos and thus must go through the poll! If you want to see it, you must all vote for it!

So... yeah. I lost. I honestly, totally, was never actually throwing this battle. At the start, I thought it would be fun to do crazy insane unnecessary tactics, and then my overthinking got the better of me and I ended up getting destroyed.

So, my question to you all is, do you want me to restart FE7 side? I think if I did things differently, I could totally wreck everything the second time around!

On the other hand, we could also just skip it and move straight on to EnderSlicer's escape. But, long-term, I think that would be less awesome, particularly since I'm honestly reaching the point where I'm running out of good(or bad) hacks to play.

On that note, maybe we'll be able to play some more banned submissions with Ragefest 4! Call it a consolation prize for not passing the qualifying rounds...
