They're way too big, and some in particular are shining examples of lousy map design (See: chapter 2, chapter 7; I'd also say chapter 1 to a lesser extent). -The characters, The only character I DON'T either outright dislike or feel indifferent toward is Lana. -The mechanics. For starters, the money system is BS. Second, fixed weapon ranks is a huge step backwards even compared to having weapon level as a stat. Third, the pawn shop system is just a massive inconvenience. Don't even get me started on the holy weapons... And why the hell are two fundamental mechanics tied to skills??? -The balance problems. While every FE has balance issues to some extent, FE4's balance issues are pretty glaring (you know something's wrong when entire weapon types are rendered virtually unusable, and that's ignoring the holy weapons; I even called it "The Rich Get Richer: The Game" once). -The gameplay. Slogging through oversized maps where I have several turns of empty movement before I even get my first taste of battle is NOT my idea of fun. Especially when I have to seize multiple castles just to clear ONE chapter. This isn't helped by slow enemy phases... That being said, I haven't actually played the game (some other users have proceeded to call me out on judging it before playing it, but with this much going against it...). This will apply to each round from now on unless there are way bigger lists like the Zelda Dungeon or the Smash Bros stage.
