Oguma
I'm gonna die, I'm only on chapter 2. :(
Steven Tyler
FE5 is the only SNES Fire Emblem game that shows love for the Axe users!
Camus The Dark Knight
Nearly everyone stated what I can think of for the differences. However in order to beat FE5, you will likely have to change your mindset (idk how you play the others, but most don't play like how you are forced to play FE5) In this game, you will need to play very aggressively, and learn how to complete chapters quick and effectively. There is very little time to sit back and defend. There are a few defend chapters, but even on one of them, your forced to go on the offensive and kill the boss. Most chapters will have you racing to complete them, while keeping a very solid strategy so the enemies don't own you 10 times over. And beware of Blizzard... Ike-Mike
Make sure to fill Leaf's and Lifis's inventories with swords, vulnenaries and keys by the end of chapter 3. It'll make the few following chapters somewhat easier.
Big Klingy
Fuck. I didn't realize that when my units got captured they'd lose their items. And be extra careful of healers. Just one touch and you lose all their staves.

Celice
And be extra careful of healers. Just one touch and you lose all their staves. Can't you just steal them back from the enemy? If memory serves, all items taken during a capture is moved into a unit's inventory. Just capture the enemy back. Or if not, just make sure your healer is always out of range, or use 'em as bait. Get a group to move out of defense by placing one of your units in the open without any items.
SuperTroll Maxim Lapierre
Use Felgus. Get him a B-rank in swords so he can use the Fire Sword, keep Karin in his support vicinity so he has 80+countercrit, and give him the Fire Sword(obtained via putting it in Leaf's or Lifis's inventory) to have him make Chapters 4, 4x, and 5 much easier. Dr. Tarrasque
How far are you in this run anyway? Been a little over a month so perhaps you're already done? Edited October 25, 2008 by Boo
