I don't even play FF, but I don't have access to the newer ones? Should I play the older games from before their betrayal of Nintendo?

I liked both Jon and Egoraptor but I wasn't real big on the Grumps. I dunno who the new guy is and I don't really care.

MM's first 2 dungeons weren't very good and the 3rd one is a massive guide dang it. the 4th is one of my favorites of any Zelda game though.
I think there's way too many Mario characters and stages in SSB4.
I hate fighting faster characters.

I really don't understand why Palutena is the only non-Mii character to have her own custom moves.

Megaman sort of has his own, but it's really sad, considering characters like Link, Samus and Mario have a ton of potential for alternate moves.

-I am dissatisfied with the lack of Zelda U info and I don't think its delay justifies it.

People need to stop complaining about character designs. It's fine to not like a design, but you don't need to tell the world that you dislike it, and it is unbelievably petty to boycott a game or a particular character because of their design. Unless it is something actually offensive (like a character decorated in swastikas or something) you can ignore it, and it by no way lowers the value of a game.

that's weird, i thought people liked how mario 3 looks....it looks like a classic cartoon. is it because there's not much color that you don't like it?

Nah, it's not that there's not much color, I just don't like how the colors look.

Really though, with all the gripes I have with SMB 3, I don't think it's that bad of a game. It's just that compared to other Mario games, it's not as fun for me.

3) Stone tower is probably one of the best areas in a zelda game, and the dungeon is really cool. The boss sucks so much if you buy Magic Milk for infinite mana though.

It was fixed in the 3DS remake, though. I definitely had a challenge fighting 3DS!Twinmold even though I had unlimited magic myself.

@Topic: WHY do you have to make me choose?!

I guess I could go for the more "Tolkien-esque" among them. But even so. Which one?

9. Despite its flaws DA: 2 had way more personality than Origins.

10. The big open areas were the worst thing that DA could have done in Inquisition. All the sidequests had no substance, and the main story felt like it was just beginning once it ended.

Majora's Mask

1) The first two dungeons kind of suck.

A) The Forest temple is really bland with a meh boss.

B The Ice Temple suffers from poor design with how you can fall down and have to walk for 10 minutes before getting back to where you were. It probably has the best boss of the 4 temples though.

2) The Water temples REALLY sucks. Seriously, people complain about OoT water temple have obviously never experienced the original n64 version of this monster. I really think it is the WORST temple in any zelda game.

3) Stone tower is probably one of the best areas in a zelda game, and the dungeon is really cool. The boss sucks so much if you buy Magic Milk for infinite mana though.

4) The side quests are better than the main quest.

Huh? MM doesn't have a Forest Temple or Ice Temple. Are you talking about the Woodfall Temple and Snowhead Temple? I agree that those two suck though. Great Bay also sucks. They're all so boring. Stone Tower Temple though, YES. It and Ikana Canyon are the best part of the game, by far. In fact, that's the only part of the game I really enjoyed.

Yea that is what I'm talking about, and they basically are forest and ice. Stone Tower is the only one that left enough of an impression for me to remember the name. Really the biggest draw to Majora's Mask is the side questing though.

  1. I found the underwater battles in Monster Hunter enjoyable. I will admit they're poorly implemented, but I still found them fun

The Hoenn games are my least favourite. Odd, since my favourite Pokémon, Torkoal, comes from it

Resonance of Fate's storytelling was incredibly interesting. More games should try the episodic approach

Bayonetta, I find, is really repetitive, and an overall slog to play. My love for Transformers is the only reason why I'm keeping an eye on Transformers: Devastation (another hack-and-slash developed by Platinum Games)

Ni No Kuni's plot was not interesting

Forza 3's Tag Virus mode online was the best thing about the game

Carbon is better than Most Wanted (the original)

Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist of the Roses is an absolutely awesome game

4) (It's related to video games, right?) TheRunawayGuys are more entertaining to me than Game Grumps.

I agree with this so much. I tried watching an episode or two of Game Grumps and I lost interest halfway through.

And because the poll is Zelda, time for Zelda opinions:

- Even though I'm horrible at the game, I enjoy the original LoZ, mostly because I feel like that's the one game in the series that feels like an actual adventure. Also because the puzzles aren't stupidly easy and don't suck (my main problem with the newer titles)

- The ice block puzzles in TP aren't hard, but I do agree that the puzzle before the Master Sword was a little difficult

- Argorok is my favorite Zelda boss battle ever

- The motion controls in SS weren't terrible, and I probably would've enjoyed it more if I actually like motion controls

- The escort missions in TP and SS should never have existed

- I don't find the Ganon final battle in OoT that epic or even difficult. Maybe it was because the game wasn't part of my childhood, but I can't stand the fact that the battle is put on a pedestal and praised when I found it easy and lackluster

- My favorite final boss is Malladus from ST, my least favorite is Demise from SS

- The horseback portion of the final battle in TP wasn't difficult/annoying, and Zelda didn't have horrible aim. You just had to make sure that you were following Ganondorf in a straight path and make sure he was directly in front of you. Zelda only missed once for me

- The Tower of Spirits was one of my favorite parts of ST, and I actually enjoyed the puzzles it featured, and I looked forward to the next section every time.

- I don't think Tentalus was that bad of a boss... Was she uninspired? Yes, but that's the only problem I can think of

- Redeads are terrifying, especially in TP. I don't care what anyone thinks

- The escort mission in TP every game with one should never have existed

Fixed it, seriously fuck those. I like testing myself in combat, not losing because some little brat got slightly hit by one enemy.

Zelda opinions:

-I like every dungeon in Majora's Mask

-I think aLttP is still one of the better games in the series and it has the best final dungeon in the series.

-Wind Waker's combat is great, but it lacks enemy variety to make it more interesting. The game can only litter a room with so many Moblins and Darknuts until I get bored.

-Twilight Princess's biggest fault isn't that it's trying to be "bigger and better" Ocarina of Time, but that it's too easy of a game as far as the combat is concerned

-This is more of a big debate within the Zelda franchise, with more or less even sides, but I do think that exploration is a key point of the series and nonlinearity is a great addition. A Link Between Worlds was a great game that demonstrated nonlinearity while still preventing people from getting lost most of the time without long cutscenes and blatant hints

-The DS games aren't shit

-Hyrule Warriors is kinda boring and it's roster is disappointing without the DLC

-Wind Waker is always underrated or overrated

Fixed it, seriously fuck those. I like testing myself in combat, not losing because some little brat got slightly hit by one enemy.

Nothing's as bad as trying to get Kafei through that fucking timed puzzle.

Haha, very true! But yeah, escort missions are the dumbest things in gaming, but the one TP stood out for me because it had me stuck for a month.

But does anyone else remember that annoying robot we had to protect while traveling through an entire region to deliver water in SS? And how if you failed YOU HAD TO START AT THE VERY BEGINNING? That was dumb and I can't believe I forgot about it until now. Gonna have to modify my post.

I will never be able to take anyone who uses "casual" in a derogatory manner and without a lick of irony seriously ever again.

Here's an unpopular opinion. I actually like and enjoy Owain.

I agree with both of these (and Loki's defense of Xenoblade from the same post, but that's not really an unpopular opinion).

And on the "TRG vs. Grumps" debate, I also think the Runaway Guys are better. Though I do watch them both.

Escort missions are always a pain in the ass, but I didn't find the SS one to be that bad. If you upgrade the bow all the way you can kill every enemy long before they can get you. And if you fail in the volcano, you restart in the volcano, so it does have at least one checkpoint.

I know, the game is littered with too many sidequests. Don't get me wrong, I like sidequests as much as the next Zelda fan, but there's a such thing as balance between main story content and side content. MM's main story is severely harmed because its sidequests are taking up too much space. A short story of just four dungeons is so lame when other Zelda games typically have six or more dungeons. TMC has six, SS has seven, OoT has nine, ALttP has TEN, and so on.

Majora's mask kinda just put too much on its plate without enough time to actually accomplish all it set out to do. They really should have just kept Anju's questline and the Lon Lon ranch one. Most of the others are extremely random, like the paper hand.

Anyways

1) Skyward Sword and Wind Waker are the best looking zelda games

2) Link's Awakening is ugly

3) Twilight Princess tried too hard to be dark like Majora's Mask. It isn't horribly edgy or anything, its just kinda uncolored and bland looking. At least the main world.

Yeah, I agree. I also agree that Skyward Sword and TWW are the best looking Zelda games. I hated TWW as a game, but its art style is so pretty and colorful. The only thing I don't like about it is the characters having short stubby legs...

I also really like how colorful and bright the graphics of the Four Sword Zeldas are too though.

Some Zelda opinions.

I love the hell outta some Majora's Mask. You actually get attached to some of the characters and root for them to resolve things in the end knowing you'll have to reset after 3 days is just heartbreaking.

Despite that OoT is still my favorite Zelda ever and I still think it has the best soundtrack to date. v > < v > <, a v ^ a v ^, < ^ > < ^ >

I really liked Skyward Sword alot. Seeing how the Master Sword came to be and the boss fight with Demise was just awesome for me. Plus being able to fight bosses over again is a huge plus.

I don't know why they got rid of Zoras in Windwaker and used the flying people instead. I mean the Zoras are fish people who live in the water and the world is literally flooded with water. What gives?

N64 OoT water temple. Start -> Iron boots -> sink -> start -> take off -> shit not deep enough -> repeat. Yeah fuck that shit.

Zoras evolved into bird people so they couldn't swim under the ocean to find Hyrule, or maybe Zoras can't live in salt water. I really don't know which.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that there is no longer any fish in the sea, so they became birds.

Oh yeah what about the Sharks that attack you? Or the fish that draw the island maps? Windwakers plot is horseshit!
