Urushihara
I've always really enjoyed the Soldier class for some reason and I'm really glad that they're getting more representation as a class in Fore Emblem Fates, but I want to know what everybody else thinks about them. Emperor Hardin
Basically Soldier in Ancient Japan themed garb, nice to have them back. Kind makes me wonder why they kept the original soldier as a minor class when Spear Fighter exists. On a sidenote, I think the class should've been localized as Spearman. Anomalocaris
Naginatas are the coolest weapon of all time (Except maybe the hwacha), so I like them a lot. I might make myself a Basara for a while. I like those classes that give you both a melee weapon and tomes. Grandmaster and Dread Fighter were two of my favorite classes in Awakening. NekoKnight
I like balanced classes like Spear fighters/mercenaries so they get my seal of approval. Naginatas are also super cool so you can't go wrong there. Hopefully playable soldiers become a standard in future titles.
Andreyas
I've always loved the Soldier/Lancer class ever since Nephenee came around! I'm going to have Spear Fighter be one of my secondary classes when I run a male avatar because the animations for them are pretty cool. Side note, you can capture Soldiers and recruit them in the prison.
JMaula
Playable soldiers are the best, shame the Nohrian grunts got the loldier treatment. But I guess Knight and Spear Fighter are already counterparts, adding a second lance specialist to Nohr would make little sense.
