I invited Orboro over with an a support rank and there was like 7 hearts on the top screen that came down and one of them started gloeing. The same thing happened with Setsuna. You get a bracelet and swimsuit for your S rank partner, but A rank invitations don't result in anything. I suppose you can say you "unlock" dialog by inviting characters with A support enough times.
