Just one, which means only one character per playthrough. We don't know if they have plans for the other DLC to have a method of obtaining more.but at the moment this is the only known way of obtaining one

Small JP Site update The second Gift from the Goddess is a one time free Villager's Fork, used to allow a character to class change into Villager

Just some corrections "I know how you feel Alm." should be "I think I know how you think, Alm." And continue to refer to herself the next line should be, "Hmm... No, its not about knowing. Alm's thoughts are my thoughts" And the last line should be "So... its okay if I continue to stay by your side, right?"

I think its 24 hours and when you update but I honestly don't pay attention much to that; I usually just visit people from "Earlier" to return the favor.

I'm not sure on the specifics but Just Now is after just updating, Earlier is for the day and Other Day is literally any time past that.

Adding onto what Jakkun said. PegasusKnight also says Haitaka has Mercenary's Strong Riposte on Hard or higher difficulty. Gazak is a Fighter/Berserker but can have Mercenary's Good Fortune, Sniper's Certain Blow and General's Pavise. Senou (Apothecary/Merchant) can have Dark Knight's Magic Seal, Adventurer's Lucky Seven Zhara (Mercenary/Hero) can have Kinshi Knight's Amaterasu, Great Master's Counter Magic and Adventurer's Pass PegasusKnight has most of the data it seems but its in Japanese.

It seems killing Kotaro with Saizo and killing Xander in Birthright 26 with Corrin seem to be the only special defeat lines, (Xander has like 2 lines if someone else kills him). You can only have 20 characters with the shield; its independent of the number of proper characters. Just like in Awakening. You can't capture the shapeshifters.
